The rank and file out turning this all kinds of ways to fit what ever narrative they want to push.
Ufcers calling him a cheater. If he had signed with UFC they would be thrilled.
Anti-ufcers defending one of the most prolific cheaters in the sports history(and that's before they cared) cuz, Bellator and little Coker can do no wrong.
But this is in line with Bellator's business model with Coker. Pay for older names with (former UFC fighter) and run shows happy to get around 700,000 views on a good day and make Spike happy with viewership and advertising. Chael can do exactly that by himself. He can sell a fight, bellator does not even have to match him up with anyone popular to meet their purposes.

He's not really a pickup for anyone at this point. With Joe only doing NA PPV, I wish the UFC had him cage side. He is a good commentator.

I prefer quality MMA too, but instead in Bellator we get Kongo vs Johnson as a headliner. I mean really who gives a crap about Kongo vs Johnson?

I used to be a big Sonnen fan, but after he failed that last batch of tests, it was just too much. Legal issues, lying and being caught cheating multiple times...enough was enough. I don't think Bellator will book him in either Nevada or California, the two states with random testing.
That said, this signing makes total sense for Bellator, given what they are trying to do. He will draw the older fans and inspire nostalgia.

I watched, not going to lie. Was an atrocious main-event, as was Anastasia Yankova vs Arteaga. They're selling her as the next big thing, she is VERY green. Missed weight by 6 lbs and fights a SLOPPY fight. Best fight of the main card was probably Campos vs Chan. Good comeback for Campos after a rough round 1. He has a lot of heart. Overall this is the worst Bellator of recent memory.

I've always liked Chael's showmanship and I especially liked his candour, rare as it was. He has the capability to be very engaging and a lot of time, is/was.
But with a series of transgressions over a notable timeframe, it seems obvious there's a bit of a moral and ethical deficiency, Enough to make me not care so much.
That he chose Bellator, an organization that does the bare minimum in testing or seems to actively avoid it (I'll take Indian Casinos for $800, Alex), instead of redemption, well, good for you Chael. I hope they pay you well, because you're no longer anyone I'm interested in.

I won't pay to see Chael fight, but I will tune in for free to enjoy the circus. Plus seeing Tito get owned on the mic is always a treat.

Warren surprised me a bit and I think you're being a lil rough on the lasses. They may not have been perfect but they came to brawl and I for one was entertained by the fight. Kongo is what he is and eventually he will hang em up. I thought the card was ok, nothing special but sometimes it bees dat way. Tonight should be fun, especially Dustin and MJ.
