Which would you prefer: a wild, turbulent life filled with joy, sorrow, passion and andventure- intoxicating success and stunning setbacks; or a happy, secure predictable life surrounded by friends and family without such wide swings of fortune and mood?

I think the key is to get your chips out of the game while you're on an up-swing. If you can do that, then you can minimize the turbulence while experiencing the highs. Nearly everyone experiences emotional lows caused by family members and things outside their control, but we can minimize financial woes, and also personal issues. I don't mind adventure, but I don't want to be free falling without a parachute.

^^^^ I feel the exact opposite, you can't bring money with you when you die so who cares about financial set backs. You haven't lived life til you're scraping by and s--- is just insane everywheres it makes you appreciate the good times so much more. I enjoy most of the crazy s--- in my life hell I'm outta my god damn mind most of the time but I don't care it's my life and I'm happy.

Depends to be honest, the "adventurous" lifestyle was what I "had" when I was growing up, but now it has become more predictable. Tbh, I would rather have the predictable, I hated scrapping things together with food, money, and all that stuff when I was young, why the hell would I want it now? I'm just glad I have a job right now, if it was adventurous like the lifestyle of other college students, or even better my fraternity brothers, then I probably would be homeless somewhere.
