What do you guys think if Anderson Silva beats Sonnen handly without much damage. Does he move back up to 205 and possibly take on Rashad Evans or Rampage Jackson(if Evans sticks to his guns and sits out until March) for the Interim Light Heavyweight title before years end?

Of course I have nothing behind this, but the more I think about this the more excited I get.
I think Dana could talk Evans into coming back early for that fight, but even if he can't I'm sure Rampage would jump at the chance. And with it being such a high profile fight, they could still keep it a Interim title match.

You think so? If Evans were to take this fight I think his game plan is much like his game plan against Rampage. I see him using the cage and using strikes to set up the TD for some GnP. I don't think Evans would even consider trying to stand and trade with someone with just as much speed, quickness and more precise striking.

I think Rampage would for Interim title shot. The first half of the round would be slow, but after that we Anderson see Rampages timing Anderson would stand in the pocket and trade. The only question then is Rampage quick and accurate enough to touch him. I don't know.

I think Silva will defeat Sonnen without much damage. Will he move up in weight immediately after that fight? No. Belfort is back to training already and will be Silva's next challenge. Will Silva fight for a UFC Interim Light Heavyweight Title? No. If he wouldn't fight for the actual title, why would he fight for an interim title. Silva is not interested in facing Mauricio Rua right now period.

DW already said that Silva has to beat Belfort as well. So his next fight definitely won't be for the LHW title. I don't see Belfort being able to beat Silva though, so he might be fighting for the LHW title after his next fight after Sonnen. :lol:
Does it seem to anyone else that Belfort relies to heavily on hand speed, and sacrifices head movement? That seems like a bad plan against a guy like Silva who also has quick hands, but with deadly accuracy.

As for Belfort and his speed vice head movement. I don't know. Obviously he does rely heavily on his speed. But its been so long since I've watched one of his fights that I don't recall how well he uses head movement. But whether he does or not won't matter much. As you stated, Silva had deadly accuracy. And all the head movement in the world is not going to stop Silva from connecting.

Im scared about that to because the man in my book is p4p best. If you look at his victories and challenges he overcame. Its just hes really injury prone. if he didnt get injured he would imo be the undisputed p4p champ. just hope he gets his injuries fixed for a good while
