From Fighters only:
UFC co-owner Lorenzo Fertitta has made Mirko 'CroCop' Filipovic "an offer he cannot refuse", according to a Croatian news portal.
Fertitta arrived in Zagreb, Croatia on a private plane this morning and proceeded straight to Filipovic's residence where the pair engaged in two hours of talks, according to Index.hr
"A source tells us that CroCop got an offer that is simply non-refusable," the article states. "CroCop will almost certainly look at the returning to the strongest MMA league in the world currently knows."
The news is surprising, not least because UFC president Dana White gave Filipovic a broadside when it was reported the Croatian had signed for Japanese promotion DREAM immediately after UFC 99.
But in an appearance on ESPN 1100 this week, it was put to White that Filipovic had "asked him not to be too harsh" in the press, a cryptic hint that there was more to the behind-the-scenes negotiations than have been apparent. White replied - equally crypitcally - "You're pretty good."
Filipovic had responded to the reports of the DREAM signing by saying nothing was yet determined, but pointed out he wanted to fight at intervals of less than six months, something the UFC had apparently not offered him.
But Index.hr is reporting that the UFC is offering Filipovic more favourable terms. This could include an agreement to offer him more frequent fights than were previously on the table.
Neither Filipovic nor the UFC has publicly commented on any new deal and Fighters Only is currently contacting European sources to try and find out more on today's report.

Cro Cop is always exciting, win or lose. Kinda like Wandy. Who doesn't like a Wandy fight - seriously!?

I'd love to see CroCop back in the UFC. How about a CroCop/ Wanderlei rematch? I don't see why Dana needed to be asked to "go easy" on CroCop. The deal I heard was that the Al Turk fight was on a one fight with the "OPTION" of 2 more later deal. I guess it was Danas option & not Mirkos.

This would be cool cause it just adds more talent to the UFC HW division. With all the young guys and the possible HW's from TUF 10 the UFC HW's could be a really deep division in 12 - 18 months.

I doubt that will happen, not with Wandy moving to 185.

True, plus at this point neither one can afford the loss. It would be in ZUFFAs best intrest not to set up a fight that lowers a big stars status regardless who wins. Maybe we could see it in a year or two.

Cro Copout is scared of the UFC. Well, it seems like it at least. I heard or read him say that he wants 3 more fights this year and the UFC wont give him that many. I don't see why they wouldn't.
I've also heard him talk about how uncomfortable he is in the octagon. I just don't think he'll go back to the UFC, and if he does it will probably be unsuccessful...........

The thing is... If he wants to fight three more times before the end of the year. I don't know if it is feasible.
August is already booked up.
Leaves you with UFC 103 in September.
UFC 105 in November the one in the UK I would think.
Then depending what happens in December. If they are having an event in Memphis... will they be having their mega card in Vegas again. So possibly one of those. But thats a lot of fights in a short period.
Good chance of a medical suspension too.
Who knows?
Seems like, if Lorenzo flew out there to chat with him, the UFC wants to make it work somehow!

Cro Cop is scared to fight the UFC's best, If he turned down Cain Valesquez for Mustafa Al-Turk..you think he will come back and fight top competition? He's staying in Japan so he can fight B level talent. And I'm not 100% convinced "it was only a matter of time" before he would of Knocked out Al-Turk without the eye gouge.

absolutely, cro crop wasnt even throwing anything at all. Just circling taking leg kicks and jabs. I realiza Al-Turk isn't good but neither is cro crop anymore. Gabe Gonzaga really messed cro crops head up, he's never really gotten off like he use to since that fight. Even when he went back to DREAM, he still looked timid.

Something about this seems wolf tickets. I doubt Fertitta is in Croatia for some reason.

If this were to be true would be real nice but then again they would have to get the contract from Dream which im pretty sure he is signed too.
