Dana White also told us that if Yoel Romero wins, he'd like to see him fight Alexander Gustafsson with the winner getting a potential title shot at light heavyweight.
I ran this idea by Romero and he said he wasn't interested because he walks around at 210 lbs.

I feel he should prob move up anyways. Missed weight twice in a row and second time he's lost to the champion of his division. Even if he only walks at 210 he'd still be the most athletic and one of the strongest LHW's.

Big fan of this idea. When you cant make the weight for a weight class regulary, you should move up. UFC cant book Romero in a middleweight title fight again. Also think Romero is better suited at light heavyweight. Some very good and fun matchups for him there. Would love to see him against DC. Gus vs. Romero for a #1 contender spot with the winner fighting Cormier for his retirement fight sounds like fun.

time is not on Romero side here he's 40! alright fair enough he has the body of a Chippendale. Time has to catch up with everyone and missing weight last time around for a title fight alarm bells are already starting to ring, On bleacher, it says Gusto is booked against Oezdemir in August. Moving up in weight wouldn't be a bad idea I wouldn't mind seeing him in a fight against OSP considering his last win or even Blachowicz LHW does need some new life even at 40.
