Congrats, and it's always cool to see an underdog win, but that race sucked balls. Wake me up when local racing season starts. That's where it's at.

This is so surreal. Stephanie, his mother, they just interviewed. She is daughter to Teddy and Sarah Wilson. Watch - when his Official internet page come out with his bio, you will see.
So cool to see her on TV and hear her little voice. So proud of her son!
Strange watching your family celebrate this HUGE of a WIN on TV......
The Wilson's are really great people and I am so happy they have this accomplishment.

Pretty crazy, seeing a relative become instantly famous out of nowhere.
Kind of boring race, but a spectacular finish for us.

It is cool a relation won such a huge race. I'd say congrats but it really is his achievement. But aren't they all except the brief periods with crashes? It isn't like were talking rally or moto GP here.

Well it certainly required a fair bit of money and time to get him where he is. Junior racing is about as expensive as it gets for youth sports.

I can say, his grandfather - my Uncle - is one of the hardest working men I have known. When I stayed with them, I saw him pass this onto his children and am sure they passed it onto theirs.
It's a great trickle affect.

The flip side to this is that you have no proof they aren't related. Troll much, sure, I may think so from time to time but what's the benefit of outright lying about a relatives accomplishment ? Congratulations to the kid, he definitely deserves it. Not very many people will ever be on lists with Mario Andretti.
NASCAR is racist though. Juan Pablo Montoya FTW.

Thanks Fil.......only thing is now it looks like I am back into Nascar........Might prove worth it though, if he wins more and I can see my family so happy and proud more. Gives ya a good feeling.
There has been conversation of a huge family reunion at one of his races too. Now we all may get more serious about putting that together. Sometimes exciting things like this can bring a family that has drifted apart closer for a time.

I just read an article on his win and it said that Daytona was only his 2nd Nationwide start and he is now the youngest winner ever of the 500. Impressive.

He took Gordon's title away from his on the age thing. Think Gordon held it at age 25. Trevor has to be so proud of himself. . . . .

Just know that going to a NASCAR race is ridiculously expensive. I mean, not only are the tickets ungodly expensive, but every move at the track is like is also a wallet raping move. Refreshments are twice what they are at a ballgame and souvenirs need a second mortgage to pay for them.
But if you guys are dead set on going, hit the Bristol night race in August. Most exciting NASCAR race there is, and quality races on the undercard. The modified and truck races on Thursday night are an awesome show.
