i've read that Conor has requested no one be on his cards anymore that gets a cut of ppv aside from his opponents. So this is probably the biggest fight they could make at the moment under him.

They only need the Conor fight to sell the PPV. And Conor wants to maximize profit by being the only one to get PPV points. Similar to Rumble-Glover as co-main to his last fight.

Fighter PPV points have nothing to d with other fighters, this is more the UFC trying to reduce the card's overall cost as Conor will make eight figures.

Sure they do. The UFC is only going to be willimg to give up so many points per card. If there is no other titlrle fight, where 1 or 2 other fighters negotiate a cut, then there are more points for Conor to maximize his pay day.

I think i'm leaning Lewis in this one.
I see him getting top pos. and mauling Volkov.
Could go the other way with Volkov using his length and pop shotting Lewis.

Never has a crappier fighter than Lewis gotten more wins under the UFC banner. He finally fights someone with talent and the guy decides to not throw a punch. Amazing phenomenon.

Derrick Lewis fights are awful slogs. Usually involve little to no activity for 85% of rounds. Until a sudden late round finish out of exhaustion for the opponent. The guy seems to have the worst cardio imaginable and is just trying to conserve his energy the whole time. I hate watching him.
