My biggest problem right now is battling the butterflies in my stomach for this weekend.My second biggest problem right now is why Maynard vs. Huerta is playing second fiddle to a guy that has lost two in a row and a guy who has less of a ground game than my two year old son?Granted the 2 losses were against stiff competition, but who in the UFC isn't stiff competition.It will be a good fight and I will watch it but c'mon.

Very ture. I think because Diaz is a TUF winner and they dont want to make huerta any more popular by putting him in the main event in his last fight.
oops i thought the pool was for who would win. I voted for Nate, but when it comes to trash talking I think melvin will do more. Nate gets a rep as a trash talker because of his brother but he's actually never really been one to talk trash about his opponents leading up to the fight. I'm sure if melvin says something Nate will respond but I don't see Nate just talking trash out of no where like his brother usually does.
As for this being the main event.... I think it's because this fight will be more exciting. Until maynard can prove he can be in a fight that doesn't consit of laying on the ground the whole fight I don't think many people are interested in seeing him as a main event. Maynard is a higher ranked lightweight with a ton of potential but as far as exciting fights for the fans go, diaz/gulliard should be a lot more exciting so they make that the main event.

Yup. Guillard's history suggests an easy sub for Diaz. First round.
Of course, Guillard could KO a heavyweight if he lands that right hook, so who knows.
Hopefully Guillard's recent "maturity" can help him in this. If Diaz is looking to box with Guillard.... it could pose problems. Diaz hasn't really faced anyone with this kind of KO power yet....

I don't understand why fans feel cheated when something isn't the main event. Does it really make that much of a difference that you get to see the fight 15-30 mins earlier? The maynard/huerta fight is still happening, now you just to don't have to wait as long to see it.
word it is SIMPLY because huerta is leaving after this one , plus like said nate and giulard are gonna talk mad s--- (hype the fight). i'm, pretty sure there will be an article of somebody saying something soon

Doesn't main event fights generally earn the fighters more money?
Who cares what the main event is, you get to see both fights?
I'll take Guillard as the bigger trash talker before the fight, but Diaz the bigger talker during the fight.
And, Diaz wins by sub in the second round.
I like both guys a lot, but I'm not too sure that Diaz will be able to get Guillard to the ground. If he can though, its a wrap...........If not, than I expect Guillard to take it, although I do believe that Diaz' chances on the feet are better than Guillard's chances on the ground...........
this card looks pretty solid but i got a beef with huerta vs maynard not being the main event.
huerta vs maynard has 2 guys with a combined record of 27-2 & seems much more an intriguing match
Nate diaz has lost 2 straight and guillard won his last fight in a very contrversial fashion. They really should of swapped the two and made diaz vs guillard the CME and huerta vs maynard the main event.
I see this fight going the the ground and diaz submitting guillard quickly
