Cerrone has decided to make one last run...the UFC has plenty of low caliber guys at 155 and 170.
The UFC could sign Masvidal or Nate Diaz for rematches....Joe Lauzon, Matt Brown, and Jim Miller are under contract. Tony Ferguson is also hanging around
Or do you pick some of the worst guys on the roster..Roosevelt Roberts, Turman, McKee.
Let's say you've got to book Cerrone for 4 fights...who are you putting him up against and where on the card are you placing him.

Cowboy does not need to be fighting anymore. This is sick. And you should feel bad for supporting this, Jenny.

Donald Cerrone says he's coming out of retirement for two more UFC fights to reach 50
Donald Cerrone announced that he intends to come out of retirement for two more UFC fights. Cerrone (36-17-2 MMA, 23-14-1 UFC) hung up his gloves in July 2022 after a submission loss to Jim Miller at UFC 276. He was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2023. Cerro

I can't believe this is actually happening.

Cowboy wants two more fights, to make his total number of fights 50, instead of 48. Maybe he's using Mayweather Jr.'s example. I'm not against it. He may be OCD about numbers, like some people are. His last two fights should be old guys on a similar level. I'm against even low-level prospects.

This is sad. Cerrone should stay retired. Maybe he needs the money though. Idk.

That's probably the best option for him. I was a huge Cowboy fan. He needs to stay retired.

You can't change his mind, so just go with it. Like T-Ferg. It makes these guys happy.

He is already likely going to suffering from CTE. His family will suffer for this. And Ferguson needs to stay out of fighting just as badly.

After that he can fight Nate. He mailed it in the first time around, let him have that one back too.
So there's your 2 fights - Nick & Nate.

I don't disagree. But once you have CTE, the damage is already done. May as well just keep fighting, if that's what you want.

It can get worse. It can get exponentially worse if you keep taking blows to the head.

Not exponential growth, just geometric growth--which is slightly less severe. I know, I'm a medical doctor under the tutelage of Riz Farmer.

He should fight Chris Leben or Diego Sanchez. The winner gets a brain from the Wizard of Oz.

He is only asking for two fights. That's likely what he has left on his contract. Masvidal and Nick would be the matchups I would make, if Nick doesn't sh-t the bed vs Vicente. Win or lose, Cowboy comes to fight, and I'd be interested in watching it if he was matched up appropriately.
