Donald Cerrone vs. Cole Miller

Cerrone is tough and has a lot of skills but his fights end up close because he doesn't always stay active. He finally put it all together against Varner but even last night he was sloppy at times. You just can't allow a guy like Horodecki to hang with you and (arguably) take a round off you and expect to succeed in the UFC. According to the ufc the striking was pretty even (Horodecki 27, Cerrone 23). Stats aren't everything (or even close to it) but he's gotta be more active to avoid disappointing decision losses in the UFC, especially if he's going to yield takedowns

I agree. I feel like Cerrone might come in a bit too cocky sometimes. Last night was definitely one of those times. It didn't seem like he was respecting Horodecki's muay thai at all.

That's what I think too. He's willing to eat shots, risk takedowns and sacrifice position to do what he wants to do offensively. If you get sloppy and give up your back for a minute or two in a five minute round that can be all it takes to lose. It's interesting because he comes from a camp that stresses strategy and risk-reward analysis. Maybe it'll all come together.

Agree on all counts. Cerrone tends to have that "legend in his own mind" mentality at times.
Miller is on a bit of good streak right now. I don't see Miller getting caught in a submission like Horodecki did. It would, however, be a pretty entertaining fight.

No doubt about it. Cerrone definitely seems to be one of Greg Jackson's less disciplined fighters (in terms of style and general attitude.) Don't get me wrong, I love watching the guy fight and I'm a big fan of his but I think he needs to mature a bit.
Cerrone was aways fun to watch in the WEC. fighting guys like Varner, Ratcliff and Horodecki can you make you look much better than you are.
He's got so many holes in his defence, i see him getting worked in the UFC. but since he's a fan favourite, i could see the UFC "Bisping-ing" him and giving him some throw away fights to start.

Is that a knock on Cowboy? Because Miller is on a tear right now. I still think Cowboy can take him out but it won't be easy.

I think this is a calculated move by Cerrone. He called out the most overrated fighter in the lightweight division. I think he would be better matched up with someone like Jeremy Stephens, Spencer Fisher, or Sam Stout.

I don't think it's calculated. Just not his style. But I do think Cole is being overrated based on his last fight. He's solid but he really doesn't have any big wins. Pearson was the first guy he beat that hasn't been bounced from the organization, and while the finish was terrific, he needed it after dropping the first round. He was also stopped by Stephens and flattened by Escudero. I think his skills have been sharpening throughout his UFC career but at the present time he's overrated by a lot of fans.

Millers only shot is subbing him and if ben henderson can sub Cerrone then im sure miller can considering Millers BJJ is much better than Henderson.
