Has anyone heard what his plans are now that he lost to rick story? Will he change camps, who is a good next possible match up? Are there any new rumors floating around about him, and current news would be appreciated. Thanks!

I honestly don't know, but a 'loser leaves town' match with Ben Saunders seems like a possibility.

Lister told me in San Diego that he hopes to have 1 fight in Canada in the next 3-4 months and with a win he will likely be back in the big show.

I like Hazelett, and I definitely do not want to see him walk. But that's a good possibility, unfortunately. If he loses one more, then he's definitely gone.

I think he'll be back to form probably in his next fight. Remember, he was coming off a really bad leg injury and he actually came back early from it. Once he is completely healthy he should look better.

Yeah wasn't there something on Junkie where he admitted that doctors are trying to keep him from fighting? Or am I making that up?
But I hope McLovin can remain in the UFC. I enjoy watching his ground work.

He needs to step back from the big league and see what happens.

He needs to shave that stupid moustache.....ever since he showed up with roadkill on his face hes been getting destroyed lol.
And why does it seem like his striking has regressed? It didn't look that bad against Koscheck....now he looks like a mannaquin out there.

He's dropping to 155lbs.
Dustin Hazelett Moving Weight Classes
After suffering back-to-back defeats in the Octagon, Dustin “McLovin” Hazelett’s UFC career became the topic of speculation. While some predicted that a consecutive defeats could have lead to his ouster from the organization, it appears as though Hazelett will remain with the UFC for the time being.
According to Hazelett’s coach, Strikeforce lightweight fighter Jorge Gurgel, Hazelett is still with the UFC, despite being knocked out by Rick Story in the second round of their UFC 117 fight.
“[UFC matchmaker] Joe Silva’s going to have him back,” Gurgel said.
Though he remains in the UFC, Hazelett will be making a career move in the form of a cut to lightweight.
“He’s actually dropping to 155lbs. again, and I think it’s going to be a good move for him,” Gurgel said.
Hazelett previously competed at 155lbs. against Diego Saraiva at UFC 67. Hazelett won the match via unanimous decision.
“If he jumps to 155, he’s going to be a handful for anyone,” Gurgel said.
Although Hazelett is slightly built at 6′2″, Gurgel says that the cut should not be particularly difficult for “McLovin.”
“I figured he’d grow into a man’s body and that it would be extremely difficult for him to fight at 155, so he started fighting at 170lbs., but he walks around at 173lbs.,” Gurgel said. “I walk around at 180 and I’m only 5′9″.”
Gurgel added that “Now that we know that Dustin’s normal weight is 173 to 175lbs., we’re going to do everything we can to scientifically drop him off to 155lbs. so that he can maximize his performance at 155 and we’re going to go from there.”
Neither the date nor an opponent for Hazelett’s return to lightweight has been announced.

I would like to see Hazelett at 155...A lot of the welterweights have too much power for him imo, especially when some of them probably weigh 190 coming into their fights.

This is awesome. He's going to look like one of those stick bugs. I can see him doing really well at 155 if the weight cut goes well.

Hazelett vs. Nate Diaz would be a pretty good fight at 155. It would almost be like a mirror match.

I remember reading something about that on the UG, something about his having a fractured orbital bone or something :S I cant find the thread though. I hope he bounces back well I think 155 is the place for him to be.
