What do you guys think? The medical suspensions have been released and Bendo could be out for 6 months with hand fractures.

Well, let's just say for the sake of argument, that he is out the full 6.
I think that would be fair if Bendo is out a full six months.I dont understand why all the hate toward Edgar getting a rematch Penn got a rematch and Frankie beat him convincingly,He gave Maynard a rematch.They should fight and the winner would deserve a title shot.
This is a good idea. I don't like the idea of Edgar getting a rematch right away. I understand his feelings that he gave two other guys rematches, but this will stop that cycle for the LW division. In all honesty I think he should have two more fights before he gets a title shot again. Pettis needs one more win IMO too... The Miller vs Diaz fight should be for a title shot.

Miller/Diaz winner vs Edgar earliest would be August
Give Edgar an easy win but someone with a name like Melvin.
If Beno is actually gonna be out for 6 months I think this fight makes a whole lot of sense. I keep hearing people say that Pettis would beat Edgar but I really wouldn't see that happenning
of course it depends on how long smooth is out, but I still like Miller Vs. Diaz for number one contender. And can we put a stop to this "edgar gave two guys rematches"? He had a DRAW against Maynard, so that was a no brainer, it wasn't like Frankie would have said no to a guy that not only beat him once, but fought him to a draw in a Title fight...and not really under the same category as a fight that was close and could have went the other way. I feel Pettis, losing to Guida and beating two guys not highly ranked, should definitely fight at least once more before getting a title shot...They are all young, so really, they will all fight at some point anyway.
Edgar is at least 3rd in line behind Pettis and then the winner of diaz/miller.
With all else aside Pettis has a WIN over Bendo. It's like people are calling for Diaz to get a shot over him and(before the miller fight) Diaz is something like 2-4 or 2-5 in the lw division. Pettis is 5-1 with a win over Bendo.
