Joe Silva said at the ufc 110 Q&A that Hector Lombard wasnt in the UFC b/c of his visa. I've also heard AE isnt in the UFC b/c of his Visa. With the UFC expanding into Aus, Britain, Mexico, China, India, and Brazil cant they just have fighters that only fight on cards outside of the US.

is weird since Hector Lombard has been figthing in USA soild, in fact his last fight was in Florida for G-Force fights a promotion that Glen Rice former NBA player is one of the owners, and he is the winner of the first tournament of Bellator that it was in Hollywood his last fight to wint he tournamet and for UFC 110 well he is the champion of one of is not the best MMA promotion in Australia defenden his title agaisnt the infamous Kalib Starnes in Australia soild the last time.
so is hard for me to believe that Lombard is not in the UFC for visa problems since he has all this figths in all this places, to me one of the reasons is because he has alot of fights in diferents places alredy, Bellator, this Australia promotion CFC if i remember correctly, G-Force, just with them it is 3 fights per year alredy in place and also i remember that he alredy is in talks with strikeforce but firts he wants to finish his commitment with Bellator since he has to fight against the winner of the second tournament in the MW division

well some people said that this issue with Visa is one of the main problems on why Alexander Emelianenko is not figthing in USA soild, is unclear in one of the AFliction cards why he couldnt fight but after that it seems that his past is keeping for getting visa for USA

Some people have mentioned Hepatitis as a reason for Aleksander not being given a visa, but the fact that he was able to fight in Canada casts doubts on the Hepatits rumour. The other rumour is that he was denied a visa because of his links to the Russian mob. But, unless the State Department provides a reason for denied AE's visa, it's all just rumours and speculation.

The US State Department rarely provides a reason for denying visas. Just ask anyone who tries to get one and gets denied.

I think what happened is that back at UFC 78 (I think that was the card he was supposed to fight on), Lombard couldn't get his visa, so he didn't get into the UFC.
After that, I imagine he took the steps necessary to secure a visa to fight in the US, because he obviously has been fighting.
I don't know if there is just no interest from either side at this point, or if grudges are being held, or if like some other fighters, he feels he can make more as a big dog in Bellator than a quasi-contender in the UFC.

I doubt the contract from the UFC was an open-ended invitation. Since he couldn't get the visa to fight, the contract was pulled and Lombard had to find another organization. Once he signed with Bellator, he's no longer free to go to the UFC. They may be willing to sign him, but until he's a free agent again, that doesn't really matter.
