Following the TUF 10, the following fighters have been cut from the UFC.com roster of fighters -
Houston Alexander - Marcus Jones - Justin Wren - Darrill Schoonover
Following UFC 107 -
Shane Nelson - Edgar Garcia - Kevin Burns
Thoughts?

Marcus has no future in MMA. He's too old and too green to compete in UFC or Strikeforce. That many KO's and his reaching out constantly is just going to get him seriously hurt someday.

Burns is entertaining, but to be fair, he is 1-4 in the UFC. I'm counting his eyepoke "win" as a loss for obvious reasons. Burns has talent, but I think he needs time to develop against lesser competition before he makes a run in the UFC.

i think all the names in this thread has no place in the UFC, yes even burns
with Marcus Jones the thing is that his stand up game is so bad that is pretty clear that he needs to work on that alot, and it will take alot of time and he might not have the time to do it, also he is very emotional so it might be calling off every time he loses a fight, i think is better for him to go into the minors to get more experience and alot of work in his game and them maybe doing something in a year in UFC or Strikeforce

Some one not on your list is Dennis Kang and there was a clip recently where Scott Coker said he tried to put him in with Lawler but they couldn't schedule it. So we may see Kang pop up in Strike Force.

I don't think Garcia should have been cut at all. He dominated DeMarques in that fight. And alot of people thought he won his first UFC fight against Blackburn too. I think they should have given him at least 1 more fight, it seems like he's had a couple tough breaks so far.

The Blackburn fight was close , this is why the UFC gave him a second chance against DeMarques. He did Dominate but lost and dominating doesn't meant anything if you cant win .

Both Edgars fights were amazing and super close, should have stayed and so should have Justin Wren who was in a SD in the finale,
Kevin Burns three in a row is a good cut

Kevin Burns is a great fighter and I expect he'll be back. In fact, I predict he'll have a Patrick Cote like comeback of leaving UFC, going undefeated and then coming back in. The guy's had some very tough matches in the UFC, but the talent and athleticism is definitely there.

i gotta agree. burns fight against lytle was close and really exciting. he could definitely be the guy, much like lytle, that they throw into fights for entertainment value. houston needed to be cut. he should go to a smaller org and continue to gain experience. i think his last fight was the first time he ever moved his head to slip a punch. he seems to be developing in small increments.

Fact of the matter is losing close on the undercard for the UFC is not worthy of keeping your spot.
The UFC has a full roster and to sign new talent they have to let the guys that lose on the prelims go.
Good move by the UFC on all accounts.

Yep, big difference losing a close fight to a top fighter vs losing to the likes of Blackburn etc...
The UFC has proven many times just losing doesn't always get you cut. It deffinately makes a difference who you lose to. It's not like Wandy, Forrest, Franklin, Stevensen, Couture, et. etc. win all of their fights but they are fighting the best of the best evry time they step into the cage.
