The funny part is that he said Brock needed to hit harder and in the second fight thats just what he did...

Referees just hate Frank Mir.
Another late stoppage that was recent, Richard Hale vs Nik Fekete. Fekete was unconscious as soon as it hit the ground, it was like ten seconds until the fight was stopped.
Same with Nate Diaz vs Marcus Davis. Davis was unconscious a good five, six seconds before Lavigne stopped it.

I use to think that Carwin vs Lesner went too long but after watching it again a few days ago i changed my mind,Most of Carwins punches landed on his arms and hands..

I just re-watched that exact fight on UFC Wired on Hulu and couldn't believe how long Mazagati let that bludgeoning go on for. He could have easily stopped it a good 30 seconds before he actually did.
