Former WEC middleweight champion, Paulo Filho will have a chance to win one more title in his career. TATAME.com learned from several sources that the black belt will face Bellator tournament champion Hector Lombard at May 20.
Conan Silveira, Lombard’s Jiu-Jitsu trained at American Top Team, confirmed the news to TATAME.com. “We’re ready for anything. I just came from Australia, I didn’t know if Paulão had signed it yet”, said Silveira, who graduated Lombard black belt this Saturday, after his victory at CFC 12. “That’s a sad situation because Paulão comes from the same school that I came, from Carlson’s, he’s my friend, but this it professional”.
And this is not the only fight in Filho’s future. WFC president, Fred Fontes confirmed that the fighter will face Maiquel Falcão in next edition of the event. “This fight is on and will probably happen at June or July. Paulão signed with Bellator to fight for the title, so we decided to postpone the event”, explains. Stay tuned for more news on Paulo Filho.

i have some problems with this report, first i know that the next in line for Hector Lombard title is the winner for the second season, is alredy sign this deal, Lombard alredy know this since he won the first season in the MW division.
Second well it would be a hughe fight for sure and both guys deserve to be in the big leagues and with all this signs i think bellator is staring to make noise to become the second best MMA promotion, right now they are a clear third place passing dream for sure.
I think Filho would be hughe for them, i hope this report is true and this fight happen but i have some trouble i believe in this report since its alredy sign the first defense for all the winners from season one, one of the reasons of huerta choosing bellator was for the oportunity to be the first guy to challenge Alvarez for the belt.
in another note how about the WW division? is sick that tournament in that weight class, if i was SF or The UFC i will be looking at those guys and trying to get as many as i can

Hmmm, good point.
Reading comprehension fail on my part; I just assumed it would be a non-title "Super Fight" ala Alvarez vs. Neer, but it does clearly state it would be a title fight.
