im liking bellator more and more these days and after seeing the Kang vs Filho fight, i think both of them should be included in the Season 3 middleweight tournament. Kang is a good fighter who just has some bad luck sometimes. i thought he was going to run through bisping. everyone know filho is a little out there. but he can still fight well. and either fighter against lombard would be a good fight.
any other fighters that you think would fare well in bellator?

I think they were better off without bigger name fighters.

This. Once Bellator gets into the big name fighters, they are going to be into huge egos and big paychecks, neither of which they are equipped to handle.

They're going to have to get big name fighters at some point. Big names get big views.
However, Bellator could probably go another season without many massive names. Huerta was a great addition (is he still under contract with them?) and I'd like to see one or two big names, but putting on exciting fights is what has got Bellator noticed and they have to keep putting on good fights. Their growth has been massive, I think it'll only be a matter of time before they're bigger than SF (either through their own continued growth or SF's Elite XC like destruction).

Buentello, Hardonk and Sylvia could all make their HW division a bit more known.
Barncat would be another good addition.
Personally, I think the Huerta signing was the biggest blunder in their short history thus far...they payed big for a guy that didn't fight well. Whether or not it was ring rust or just a lack of dedication...doesn't matter.

I would say any fighter under 27 should look to Bellator. If your young and win a tournament people will automatically think you've really improved and can spring board you back to the UFC. Older fighters with bigger names should stick to random promotions where they can pick up checks.

I kinda feel the same way. I like Bellator as more of an opportunity for new MMA talent to burst onto the scene making big waves. I'd rather not see it become filled with 35 year olds who could no longer cut it in the UFC.
Cheap, young, and exciting prospects all fighting their hearts out for the biggest opportunity of their lives makes for a lot better MMA and TV than over the hill and over paid fighters just continuing at a slow place with very little drive.

Bellator needs to do a slow build. No more than two or three big name fighters a season for now, until they can parlay that into income. They don't have the venues that have enough seating support the salaries the big names will command without raising ticket prices just yet. Right now, they should concentrate on what building what they already have more.

maybe cuz i was stokked for his fight last night but i would love to see Corey Hill fight in Bellator or even SF
FYI - he subbed Kit Cope out last night in New York, a smal show called Raging Wolf
Daley would be good as well in the WW division
Eric Schaffer as well

oh no.....kit cope got subbed by corey hill? maybe he should've stuck with muay thai. i'd like to see bellator add mike campbell(just beat yves edwards) and danillo villefort(usually an exciting fighter but had a bad outing in the ufc). there's a couple guys in vegas that are relatively unkown that would do pretty good. angelo antuna is a great lightweight. very good wrestling and he blends it very well with his bjj. the other guy is bryan humes at heavyweight. his only loss was a decision to buentello and he's undefeated in muay thai.

i think hardonk would be good, but sylvia, nah, paycheck is too small for him. hes making 800k in his losses, the prospect of making 175k if he wins the tournament probably wont make think about it. though the exposure would of course be great. ricco rodriguez has been looking great as of late, in shape not too bad, he could probably go for 205 or HW.
daley should, the rumors that were flying about him signing up, i hoped they were true cus hes a decent fighter. though if her were to win and face askren, he might do the same to askren after he gets dry humped for 5 rounds. then again askren vs hornbuckle was a pretty good fight.... actually daley vs hornbuckle would be an amazing fight.
i believe bellator is going to have a 205 tournament this season, jardine would of course be a great addition. i hope he bounces back against prangley, hes got a pretty tall order in his 1st post ufc fight. and im actually a big eric schaffer/duke rufus fan, i hope he tries to get in on the LHW tournament.
though i agree with THEWINNER (he said bellator would be better off without big name fighters), you cant discount the fact that roger huerta joining the LW tournament helped them get another degree of notoriety. and furthermore, when pat curran won their fight, he made himself known to tons of mma fans. i think 1 or 2 decently known names would def help their rep.
