OK, who can help a forum noob out by describing what some of the animations mean on the forum icons? I'm talking about the page-of-text looking icon to the left of the topic. For example:
Sometimes the text in the icon is scrolling, sometimes it is not.
Sometimes there is a red star in the text, sometimes not (although I think I figured out that this means that I posted in that subject).
Sometimes there is a flame on the icon.

If the icon is red, that means there are new posts that you haven't read. If it's blue, you've read them.
If there's a star in the icon, it means you've posted in that thread.
If the icon appears to be scrolling, it means the topic spans multiple pages.
