Uh oh, 10 fighters in an eight man tourney. Looks like we need a wild card round. The first eight original sign ups will be randomly seeded and the bottom two of the original eight will fight the two latest additions in an enter the tourney elimination round. Losers become the alternates.
The names are fed into the random seeder. It makes the noises of love; (bee bop, brawk, doop, be doop, squeak, whirrrr, cha ching).
And the new order is;

I will start the sim for these fights at midnight EST tonight, Tuesday. Any hype, trash talk, contribution, promotion effort will be included.

Another suggestion to the players. It's not just about insults and smack talk, although that is certainly an avenue and an enjoyable one. It's about the persona, being 'in character' - one could, for example, set your fighters persona as respectful and gracious and act that way. (Not for me, but just illustrating a possibility)
And it's not all head to head, although that's more than welcome, too. I mean, branch out a bit. Interviews, exposés - in character. They all can be scored.
As your fighter's PV and fanbase increase, usually by winning but not always, your fighter gets harder to 'beat'. It's conceivable a fighter can have a long career. Correspondingly, too many losses and a PV decline, and well, your fighter might wash out. Get cut from the league.
