He wants either 199 or 200. Wants more time to prepare rather than meet Silva in Brazil. Thoughts on the potential matchup?

I can understand why contenders that were around when Silva was on top, still want to fight him at this stage. Last chance to fight a legend while making some $$. But if Silva still wants to fight, it'll be against other faded legends and vets.
Gegard should just try to build up a win streak and get back into title contention. Even a rematch against Hall would be better for him.

Dude have you been following Gerard's career the past few years? He is pretty much a faded version of himself already.

he was washy since strikeforce..or when he started fighting in north america. very talented but the difference in judging hurt him along with him being too comfortable off his back. he can be too complacent in close fights

Agreed.
Technically speaking he is one of the most talented fighters in the game. But his bed head routine has held him back on a few occasions, sometimes it is like he is stuck in sparring mode.

Yeah Gegard sometimes looks like he's sleep walking in fights. My biggest complaint on his career is that he never switched up his training despite the setbacks and despite seeing how much better other gyms are compared to his makeshift gym.
But the thing about Gegard is that he's still good enough that older vets will stay away from fighting him.

of course it proves nothing now. i was just saying gegard was one of the few for wanting the silva fight back then compared to all the fools jumping out of the woodwork now wanting a fight.

Irregardless
is a word commonly used in place of
regardless
or
irrespective
, which has caused controversy since the early twentieth century, though the word appeared in print as early as 1795.
[1]
Most dictionaries list it as nonstandard or incorrect usage, and recommend that "regardless" should be used instead.
