As the NFL season gets deeper into fall and winter we are going to be seeing big match-ups week in and week out. This is the first real big game for the NFC to determine pecking order. So who takes it The Saints and Drew Brees with their high-octane offense or my beloved New York Giants and the stingiest defense(yardage) in the NFL. I'm getting excited just thinking about it.

it's gonna be tough...the Giants secondary is going to be tested big time. They are going to need the line to get big pressure. But i think their offense is clicking well enough to hold their own if it comes down to a shoot out. I gotta go with Giants...how can i root against my team?

Giants get a lot coming back this week. Our Starting CB Arron Ross, is on pace to come back, as is Chris Canty which will help with the pass rush. Our pass rush is going to be huge, if we get a lot of pressure on Brees then were going to be fine.
I find it funny that everyone is saying its going to be a shoot out. I just dont see it. I think we use the Parcells method of using a lot of quick passes and screens, as well as a healthy dose of Jacobs and Bradshaw to chew up clock and keep Brees on the Sideline.
the best part about this is that the Giants play better on the road, and Eli is usually lights out away from home.
Gonna be a good game though thats for sure.

Secondary may be a bit of a question for the Giants, but if they can get pressure with the front 4, they won't really even need their secondary to be all that great. I think they def. have the ability to put alot of pressure on Brees, but on the other hand, he is great at moving in the pocket and finding the open guy nearly every play. Will be an interesting game for sure.

I absolutely hate the Giants, but I see their defense holding Brees and Colston to a low point total. As much as I hate to say it, I think the Giants might be the best team in the NFL right now.

I think N.O. defense is severely underrated this year. Much like minnesota, they aren't just relying on a their QB and few star receivers anymore, they've got a solid defense which is just as much a part to their early success this year.
This is a great overall match up for both teams. I'll take NO in this one.

Hopefully it's a high scoring game. I don't care who wins as long as Brees and Steve Smith pull big numbers.

As long as they bang eachother up I don't care who wins. I will have to pick NO though.
GO EAGLES!!!

When the Giants get pressure with the front four they are UNBEATABLE. Word has it that Bradshaw is starting over Jacobs which dosen't matter much cause they both get 15 or so touches a game anyway. Eli is playing better than ever this season and with Canty coming back that adds more push to that front four. The only thing New Orleans does better is the passing game and they don't do it that much better. Giants 27-16

Bradshaw is the better back....he is hitting the hole hard and great acceleration....jacobs has been tentative. The giants have been swarming to the ball and receivers have been getting almost not yards after the catch. Considering they have been playing without several starters in the secondary its a huge accomplishment how they have done. gonna be a good game.

i'm a huge Giants fan, which living in Jersey is no surprise. Giants have been good this year and i'm really pleased to get out of the fairly easy, early part of our schedule undefeated. lots of things need to be tweaked if we are to keep it going though. Special Teams being one of the weak points so far. Dropped punts, minimal yardage on returns, and a few missed field goal from Tynes has me a bit worried. Jacobs needs to produce more if the two headed dragon of a running game is going to continue to be a threat. He seems to be able to hit the hole just fine (haha hit the hole), but has trouble getting past that second level. Defenders have figured out how to tackle him this year and Jacobs seems to be throwing more fakes at ppl instead of just plowing through. he's got trouble stopping and getting back to full speed which is something Bradshaw does incredibly well.
that being said i think the Giants have more threats with the passing game than the Saints do. Hixon is back healthy again, Smith has been incredible, Manningham has produced, and Hakeem Nicks has had 2 TD's in two weeks. all of that is great, and i'm still hyped to see what Ramses Barden can do. no word yet on his return though.
that being said, our schedule gets increasingly more difficult from this point on. after the Saints its Arizona, @Philly, San Diego, BYE WEEK, Atlanta, @Denver (ON THANKSGIVING!!!!! awesome), Dallas, Philly, @Washington, Carolina, @ Minnesota.
Those last six games are gonna be tough. Injury free though, there is no reason not to consider the Giants as an early favorite for this years........aaahhhh i'm not gonna say it. Giants fans are way too superstitious. haha.

I've been saying Bradshaw is the more complete/better back for over a year now. Actually I thought Ward was/ is the best of the three.
Hey Iceman22 remeber when I  at you when you said the giants plan on getting Jacobs the ball through the air? The guy has rocks for hands.

Hahaha I never said jacobs could catch the ball, i said his hands were improving and they wanted to use a lot of screens and quick passes, which if you have seen any of the games, my assessment of the offense has been spot on.
If ward is the best of the 3 home come he has less then 100 yards on the season?

Jacobs had a couple of nice first down catches during pre-season and i think at least one against the Redskins in the first game.

The only time I see Jacobs Fumble (to his credit) is when he has caught the Ball. I live in NY and watch EVERY Giants game so....whi is the better back Bradshaw or Jacobs?

Ward is burried on the depth chart because he plays for a stupid team with a retarded head coach. You can't run the ball much when your down as early as the BUCS.

i think the better back is definitely Bradshaw.....he can move better through his blocks and past the secondary.
