i dont think gsp should fight anderson yet. silva has belfort and okami to deal with. and since i dont think shields is much of a threat to st pierre's title, i think he should fight chael sonnen. when a.s went up to 205, he got james irvin, not the current champ. Who you got?

what chael sonnen fights have you been watching? if you call his style "dry humping", especially the way he fought against anderson, you my friend might not be cut out for this website, there is another site called sherdog that sounds more like your style.

Besides that Sonnen would dry hump GSP because he wouldn't controlled him like he did Silva,GSP's only way to win would be a submission off his back imo.
The matchup would belike this, Sonnen gets the takedown,can't do anything with it,ref stands it open,wash,rinse and repeat,3 rounds,brief standup at the start of each round,Sonnen gets the decision or GSP gets a triangle or armbar.

very excited for, sonnen has a way of exposing people due to his style, i am still blown away on what he did to okami over a year and a half ago.

Chael Sonnen may have the advantage is strength and size but GSP could pull this off due to better stand-up and ground-game.

Chael. GSp is to small to triangle Chael. yes long legged limbs help alot.nate couldnt do it and Nate is a nasty black belt. GSP would be outwrestled amd beaten up for 3 roudns straight
im sure my post will outrage the GSP fan base.GSP is god GSP can beat Fedor and Brock at the same time. he isnt a point fighter and is so exciting to watch for 5 rounds there you go i made it up to you guys =D

Oh... U mean the same way that AS got dry humped for 4.5 rounds??? :roll:
Dude, GSP will lose this 185 debut via TKO against a guy who IMO should be the MW champ and could easily make 205 w/o having to bulk up too much at all. (Minus the TRT) lol.. GSP needs to stay at 170 where his title and reputation will remain safe.

Actually a really interesting match-up. But Chael's behaviour CANNOT be rewarded. This fight should not happen.
Chael has lied, cheated and made asinine do*chebag comments against a handful of elite fighters and a couple of nations.
(and I don't mean to fighter bash but facts are facts.)

If you say GSP could defend the takedown or get a takedown himself you'll get labelled an embracer of testicles. This is despite the fact that Chael got thrown into S-mount by a guy whose not much bigger than GSP is now. WW GSP has significantly better wrestling than Nate both in offense and in defense. His striking is also more technical. Most importantly, GSP's mixing of styles and levels is better than anybody Chael has faced. I'm not saying it's an obvious win for GSP, just countering the claims of the opposite.

GSP all the way!!! just as good of a wrestler and a much better striker......and also a BJJ black belt, so if all goes wrong in the fight and some how is losing, all he has to do is pull the triangle

there are no additional punishments such as withholding fights.

i agree. i'm not sure of many problems for gsp at MW if he's able to walk into the cage around 195 fight time.

If Wandy KOs Sonnen by knees (via 2nd Rampage fight) does that count as enough punishment?

Chael isnt as submittable as he use to be. if GSP couldnt submit Hardy then dont expect it to happen within 3 rounds.
Chael hasnt been submitted by alot of good ground fighters. Nate for one has a black belt in JJ, Miller is excellent on the ground, so is prangley, and a few others including Philo.
its easier said then done
I dont think the best wrestler at 170 is going to move up and outwrestle the best 185 wretler either.
