I always have trouble uploading images from my desktop (not sure if it's possible) and I too do not do social media.
However I can talk guitars all day. My baby is my Les Paul... bought it when I was 17... saved up over a year to get it. I've had the fuker for 20 years now and it still kicks ***. It is just a studio but that's mostly cosmetic differences. Wine red finish, stock Gibson humbuckers. I even had Pantera autograph it back in the day. The autographs got all fuked up though (immediately after signing!! long story) so I eventually cleaned them off. It could use a new finish now.
I recently bought a PRS SE Custom. That's always been one of my must get guitars... I played it years and years ago at a Sam Ash and I loved it. Finally got one last year. Tobacco sunburt, stock pick-up... been thinking about swapping those out. This and the Paul are my 2 favorite guitars that I own.
Acoustically, I have an Epiphone EJ.... I love this guitar much to my surprise. It's a cut away with a country-western kind of pick guard... not really my style, although I love the look now. But when I played it in the shop, it was the best acoustic I've ever felt and it was only $400. Score!
I also built a guitar. My first guitar when I was 13 was a Sebring, straight from the Sears catalog!! LOL. It was strat style and all black. After I bought the Paul, I sanded that fuker down varnished it up (trying to get the SRV look), put all black hardware on it (pick guard, tuning keys, pick-ups) and put in a some Dimarzio single coils. I also bought a real strat neck and put that on too. The guitar looks bad ***!! However I fuked up the wiring when I was 18 and it sat in a guitar bag for 15 year, lol. I took it out a few years ago andf fixed the wiring and it is now playable. But I don't play it very often.
Gonna see if I can figure out how to get some pics up here.

oo speaking of building guitars i have a homemade v with a wicked custom inlay thats strechs the length of the fretboard, it looks like a snake skeleton i love it although it is a home made guitar

mesa triple rec with 212 mesa cab, furman pedal board, eventide pitchfactor, digitech jamman(super kool) and a silver finish noise gate pedal i forget the name of worked great best in pedal noise reduction
next dream rig im getting the roland gr55, which will do the job of 5000 pedals in 1, and hopefully a engl fireball 100
at the moment ive got a line 6 spider jam 2 which are neat as hell but i need more!!
also interested in the digitech harmony man i love harmonizers

I miss my 1979 Les Paul studio. I never should have sold it but got double what I paid for it and I needed some cash at the time. I got back my 2nd LP Studio that was on loan while my friend was recording down in Van. That thing has seen far better days but still plays well and sounds great. It was a friend's touring guitar for years and got it on the cheap.
Finally got the Ovation fixed. Standard sound hole style. Love that thing!

Effects wise I never had anything crazy. Back in the day I had an old school Evantide Harmonizer, the one Steve Vai us to pimp. That thing was crazy... lots of insane effect to create. Other than that I've just had a bunch of pedals... the cry baby, a couple of different distortion pedals, the flange.
I haven't played any shows in years and years so I don't really need anything insane. I've had a bunch of cool amps.... the Marshall Valvestate being the original. I had a used Marshall tube amp for a while, used to sound sweet once it warmed up with the LP plugged in. I've also had Peaveys, Fenders and now I currently own a Line 6 Spider. I know I know... Line 6 sucks. LOL. Everyone kills them. But for just playing in my house, it's awesome. It has a million different effect built in plus a ton of custom sounds that match popular songs/band from the 50's through today. If I want to play sone Ventures stuff, I can get that sound. If I want to crank Master of Puppets, it's in there. Blues presets, jazz presets, etc etc.

i know what you mean on the line 6 its hard to crank a mesa when youve got a family so my line 6 works for the time in my office where i probably get to practice 1 hr a week at the moment with a 1.5 yr old and a 3month old

im what they call a bedroom musician real guitar players will say 100 percent the look of the guitar is zero percent of a factor its all about how it plays and sounds
im sorta non musican guitar player, looks are pretty much all that matter to me cause i dont play guitars enough or as many guitars to notice all the little things that real musicians talk about
ill be all ya it plays easy, thats about as far as i get into it, thinking though bigtime about a fretless and whether or not to have my next custom to have a scalloped fret job,
i dont know what the hell people are talking about when they say their guitar is baratone? 27.5 or 25.5 scale? i have no idea i just like to play the stuff from my fav bands, while having a super nice guitar

Yeah, I need a nice looking guitar too. That's why I never really like Telecasters. They feel and play nice but I think the design is ugly. However how a guitar feels is the #1 factor to me. If the guitar looks awesome but feels like a rock, I can't buy it. Recently I tried playing a Gretsch Hollow Body which I always have thought looked awesome, especially with the Bigsby bridge. But when I played it, it just felt soooo stiff and the uncomfortable I couldn't pull the trigger.... and I always thought I wanted one based on looks.
My LP and the PRS are completely different feels... the LP has a thick neck and mid-level action - good for blues/rock stuff. The PRS has a skinny neck and very low action... better for shredding.
The LP also feels about 5 lbs heavier on my shoulders. Two totally different feels but I like them both. I think because I started on the fat neck, it made it easier to transition to a skinnier neck as opposed to vice versa.

Mine is old school from the first few years of production but a quick check of the Marshall website shows 2 versions are still being produced in a multitude of wattages.

ive never picked up a guitar that feels like a rock,actually just 1 an 80s bc rich st, theres a reason why you havent heard of it, im way over the bc rich phase, the only thing id get from them is a ironbird, and itll have to be custom, ive spoiled myself with 3500 dollar guitars and am ruined for life cause ill accept nothing less now
i never found any guitar hard to play really, just ugly ones and nice ones to me

You don't like strats? I'm nto a huge fan but they are pretty classic and versatile.
I never liked Ibanez... my friend had 2 really cool one though. He had the original JS1 and then the Steve Vai custom model with the vines running up the fret board and the crazy paint job. He loved them but they were just too light for me. Going from the LP to his JS, it felt like there was nothing in my hand. He did recently sell that Steve Vai guitar though... still got $1,600 for it. Nice.

no way that iconic sound everyone loves about them is the main reason i cant stand them, not for me
the js1 is hidious imo as well, although big satch fan and vai, those jem guitars from vai are outstanding and high quality and very popular for a higher end guitar
and the more sought after universe that were out of production, and recently brought back into production are very nice as well, and the vines they call the vine of life inlay, haha they are extremely easy to play though
jackson is also a ridiculously easy guitar to play so nice

I like that strat sound in the hands of David Gilmore, SRV and Hendrix but I have never liked playing them myself. I am a Gibson/Marshall guy for the most part.
I have played a few Jackson's and I agree they are high on the playability scale for sure. I like their necks.

I have played a few Jackson's and I agree they are high on the playability scale for sure. I like their necks.

Good choices. Strats aren't bad though because you really can get any sound out of them. They are just too common for my liking though.
One guitar I surprising really liked playing was the Fender Jazzmaster. An odd shaped guitar but very playable and the 3 position toggle switch gives you 3 vastly different sounds. Not a bad guitar for the price.

First guitar was some no name warlock ripoff that my buddy was going to smash/throw away. convinced him to give it to me instead. Convinced my neighbor that he had paid for it, and was just coming back to pick it up. WTF moment for me. Don't trust neighbors vs. Mexicans.
Bought another fender ripoff for my son when he was 15 or so. He didn't give two shits about leaning to play. d---. So now that's mine. Bought a shitty Gibson SG ripoff and a small Peavy a few years ago. Haven't played it much at all. Figured I'd buy a shitty acoustic from a pawn shop to make it easier to play everyday. Didn't work.
I miss playing guitar, even if I was totally bad at it. FML.

hah i had some what of a musical career, i did 1 man death metal programmed a drum machine while i sang and played, horrid horrible but once i got good i never got to play live again
recorded my stuff at home and
i actually enjoyed my stuff
sad thing is i lost all copies and theres no way for me to remember those riffs without hearing them, they are gone forever along with that part of my life
