This floored me. No NFL players in the top 20 and Tiger Woods makes make twice as much as #2.

I knew Tiger made an ungodly amount and am not surprised it is more than twice as much as #2
I thought A-Rod would be higher up on the list

I'm glad to see Kimi Raikkonen and Lewis Hamilton up there on the list. I would have though Michael Schumacher would be up there too, his reported earnings for 2004 were 80 million and he is still a very handsomely paid consultant.

Allow me to play devil's advocate..
...seriously, I'm just going to say that tiger deserves every penny.
he owns in his sport and he does it pretty much alone.
that and the sport needs him more than any other sport needs a singular player.

Nike's partnership with Tiger is a very large part of its success. As they made 745 million last year off golf I'd say yes Tiger deserves to be. Myself I play with Titliest irons and Callaway driver/woods. Can't say I am a fan of Nike's golf equipment, including their balls, outside of apparel.

Nike is garbage. I used to use their products until several almost new items fell apart on me. Their Chinese sweatshops must pay even less than the other Chinese sweatshops.

I think that stuff got canceled.
How far does everyone think his income next year will drop based on what happened ? If at all that is.

He's still a phnoenominal golfer... he's gonna make money from that. But his image is suffering right now, and that could easily cost him his Nike and Gillette contracts... which I believe is the bulk of his income?

The house the incident occured at was worth 2.2 million. I am sure he has many more houses but when the news came on and reported this my friends and I laughed that his house was less than his appearence fees. If your personal worth is more than a billion I'd think your main house would be worth more.

Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett, Lebron james are the highest paid basketball players along with the retired Michael Jordan. Pretty interesting. I too was suprised that no NFL players are on there. Really puts things in perspective....It looks to me like Tiger Woods will become the first Billionaire in Sports History..
