I still haven't succumbed to the brainsucker that is Facebook... but my friends have. Here in Oz, UFC on Fox is going to be broadcast on a TV station, so we're just gonna watch it at my friends house. But they're only showing Cain vs. JDS on Fox right? And I think the prelims are going to be streamed on Facebook... So how do we watch em'? Does my friend need to become friends with UFC on FB / how do you watch the stream?

You go to the UFC facebook page and "like" it. There are some imitator pages out there, but you will know you have the right one when it says that 6+ million "like" it instead of just 150 or something.
Once you like it, along the left side of the their Facebook home page you will see a list of links, one of them says "UFC Live Streams" which you can click. That takes you to the page where you can click a youtube-like screen to play the prelims. There will also be some other content, like weigh-ins, press conferences, etc.
If it is something you are going to do frequently, it is worth looking into a cable that can channel your computer/laptop feed through your actual TV. I watch over a wireless network on my laptop, feed to my TV and most of the time it is near-HD quality, they've really improved the stream quality a lot since they started this.
