What kind of fan are you. Be honest, no one can see how you voted...

I started with TUF 1, no shame in that.

I remember when people were called "TUF Noobs' Cant really say that anymore, considering TUF-1 has been around for a little bit

First one I saw was UFC 2, then I and some friends watched the next several after that probably up to 10 or so. Didn't watch many for a few years (in college or shortly thereafter, not a lot of extra PPV money around, and I wasn't even sure how to find them during the "dark years" anyway). Sometimes at Blockbuster in the late 90s I would pick up a VHS rental here and there of previous UFC events.
Then the stuff on free TV started, TUF, Unleashed, etc. By then I was training MMA anyway, so I ate that free stuff up with a spoon, and it rekindled my interest, and here we are.

I remember ordering UFC 1 by accident. We couldnt figure out what the hell we were watching  My friend got so pissed at Royce Gracie, he was yelling at the tv to "Get the f--- off him so you guys can start doing roundhouse kicks" Guess he was expecting a Chuck Norris type fight.
I did the same as you Brick. For awhile we couldnt find them on satelitte PPV. I would rent them at a BB every now and then, but wasnt 100% committed. Only when they got a new one in which was rarely.
Going on national TV was really an ingenious idea.

Watched the TUF 1 finale, then really got into it with TUF 2 and the acquisition of some disposable income.
If you want to snooker me into paying for a ppv, you damn well better get me hooked on free tv first.

tuned in for the original ufc tournaments. watched ufc fights religiously and eventually got more into pride fights for a while. the rest is history. have seen every ufc and most of the pride events. there was a brief period of a few years when ufc PPV wasn't available here so i had to rent the ufc videos / dvd.

A guy i worked with at the time handed me a copy of the UFC 1 tape & i started watching back in 94-95. Then a buddy of mine Homer Moore fought in RITC and eventually in the UFC against Evan Tanner (UFC 34) so i've followed Homers career. I met Mark Kerr thru Homer back in the late 90's and got turned onto Pride. About 5yrs ago i started getting all the ppv fights at my house and would have all my coworkers/friends over to watch & some got hooked on it that way....
Its amazing to see how the sport has grown even in the last 5yrs (since TUF)

I just started watching MMA in January of 08. Stumbled upon WEC on VS when I was flicking channels. I thought it was pretty cool so I started watching more. The first UFC PPV I ordered was 84, and since then I've been hooked. Went on a crash course and learned everything I could about MMA and all the fighters, and even started training in BJJ in the hopes of fighting MMA

My dad came home from the video store in like 1995 or 1996 when i was about 12 and he had UFC 1-3 and me and my brother and my dad just stayed up super late and watched them. We watched most all of the early ones up until like UFC 12 or 13. I remember seeing Randleman beat Maurice Smith and then I lost track of the sport for a while. I watched a little here and their but didn't really get back into it until Couture fought Sylvia. After that I was pretty much hooked. I honestly haven't ever watched a full season of TUF. I watched a couple of episodes last season but that's pretty much it.

The first fight I saw was by accident. I was at a sports bar and they were showing the PPV. It was Tito vs. Shamrock 1. I found out later that was also Matt Hughes first fight in the UFC. I saw a couple more on occasion at the same bar after that but didn't really get into it until TUF 1. After watching TUF 1 I was hooked horribly, plus I was in a better financial situation and could afford the PPVs. So I voted for being the TUF Noob
but it really started a little bit before that with occasional viewings.

I can remeber every easter sunday we would gather at my grandparents for dinner and it became a tradition for me, my cousins uncles(all the men/boys) to sit around after dinner and watch the first UFCs on vhs that had been rented from blockbuster. Each year we would rent the most current ones. It was hard to be a true fan when you didn't have internet and PPV, mma wasn't mainstream enough to stay upto date with the gleaner. For the past eight years i have had ppv and have watched every ufc/pride event since. GOOD TIMES!!

When I was like 12 I would rent the early UFC's, couldn't really accurately follow it like that
Stopped for a bit then TUF 1 sparked everything once again.

I have a similar fandom.
Started with UFC 1 on tape (one of my buddies fathers was a huge MMA fan and actually has pretty much ever UFC event ever released) and watched the first 20 or so events before going to college. Last event I saw was the Ortiz/Frank Shamrock fight.
After I went to college I kind of stopped watching, just becase I had other stuff going on and because I didn't have the PPV money (main reason was PPV money). The UFC also wasn't putting out tapes anymore, so I couldn't rent from Blockbuster.
My last year in college a bunch of my friends started just pooling money together and ordering events, so I started watching again at that time (this was right around TUF 1)

I know it was early on as it was the old tournament style.
Tank Abbott against some huge samoan and Tank knocked him out in seconds. Don't know which # that was. Where's Nick Havok?? He'd know.
