There's been alot of debate around twitter and other MMA outlets about this. So how many buys, in today's PPV market, do you believe this big time card with big time main event can produce?

~700k is what I expect, but it could get a mill there's been a lot of "main stream" media coverage
oh wait isn't this an extra $5? nvm it'll do like 200k

i don't see UFC events going from 150k-350k to suddenly jumping by almost triple the recent average numbers for one event.
they don't do million ppv's like they used to and this card has a great main card for the true fans, but there's no stunner co-main event that bolsters the sales.
500-700k would seem like a pretty good number for them to do.

The rematch between Weidman and Silva did over a million and it was almost exactly 1 year ago. I think this fight has that much hype or more. These end/beginning of year PPVs tend to be big. I think a million could definitely happen. Injuries are a big factor in the low numbers. I think the UFC just lost a lot of momentum.

Yeah.
i guess you are right. i am judging by people i know who bought that event and the other recent big ones. everyone i know is excited for this fight, but doesn't sound like anyone is actually buying. i know the texieria fight disappointed everybody i was with as just a bad fight. and after the Gus fight, there's a been a few frustrating Jones fights in a row. judging then finger poking...
and honestly, most of my friends who were on the ufc ppv wagon at the beginning of 2014 have dialed it back a lot.

You could be right too. I think a lot of people have jumped off the UFC ppv wagon because of lesser product with the injury bug. I just think this is a special one. Not even Rampage vs Rashad had the rivalry between jones and cormier.

I think the mistake was going against the 1st round of the NFL Playoffs. People still want to see this fight and like me and my friends are gonna watch it after the game is over but had you done it on December 27th instead nothing was going on that night except 1 college bowl game and not a huge bowl game.

Anybody that thinks it will do 800K or more is kidding themselves. Like is your gauging skills broken or do you not have any. This does anywhere from 500K-700K. Also going against a huge game in with the Steelers & Ravens.
