First fight on the main card of the UFC's largest event ever as his first UFC fight. A young fighter who was a defending champ. all things considered, he's still got a chance to have a long career and replace that highligh reel kick, with his own.
Michael Bisping has done just fine since the Hendo bomb, whereas someone like Nate Quarry never really made it back up, Evans hasn't looked the same since Machida... Henderson already has a lot of nice wins, i don't see his career being defined by that punch. Whereas someone nearing the end of their career(Vitor), might have a harder time living it down.
As i'm typing this though... how the f*ck is Matyushenko vs. Jason Brilz on the main card? Really... Couture, Machida, Gsp, Aldo... Matyushenko, Brilz... :?

I think the only fight I'd put ahead of that would be the diaz and mcdonald fight. It deserves to be on the main card cause its almost guarenteed excitement. But think of it this way, they want a crazy fun and exciting fight to happen on spike just before the main card starts. Potentially creates a lot more buys for casual fans

it mus be sh***y to be ben henderson. i would hate to be a former lightweight champion and be making my ufc debut on a ppv main card in one of the biggest events in mma history in front of 55 thousadn plus people....

Thats gotta suck for Henderson. If I were a professional MMA fighter, i would hate to be on the main card with arguably the P4P best fighter alive and kicking off the PPV portion in front of the largest MMA crowd in North American history. Just go suck start a .45 Henderson, you have nothing left to live for.
