Hendo and Cerrone would give him problems due to being to big and too well rounded.

He won't do it until he loses, and if he did he would get out wrestled and out worked by much bigger guys. He belongs at featherweight, cutting weight sucks but its part of the game.

If both him and Melvin Guillard win next week, or even if Aldo loses, Aldo should permanently move up to lightweight and then the two of them should fight for a number one contender's bout. That would be a SICK fight.

UFC had it up for a day, then they privatized it.

He would take the title from Edgar. I would love to see Aldo v Edgar for the lightweight title in early 2012

Edgar is a bit of a different case. But Cerrone definitely. Henderson, on his good days, yes. His bad days, Edgar pulls a decision.

Aldo will feel much better and fight MUCH better at 155lbs. There is, however, deeper competition at 155lbs.
Some weight cutting is part of the business but studies of competitive wrestlers show that re-hydration (after a dehydration period of 12 hours or more) takes 36-48 to fully hydrate and even when an athlete has gained all the weight back pre-dehydration, he has not fully hydrated nor does he have full glycogen stores in his muscle nor balanced electrolytes. This is quite different than a guy that drops 4-8lbs in a workout or sauna session immediately preceding weigh-ins and then immediately rehydrates.
A reminder Aldo has a win over the 155lb TUF champ Jonathan Brookins. I know MMAth is not always applicable but I think it gives a good indication that he would not be out-sized at 155lbs.

I think we will just have to wait till after the Kenflo fight to really get an idea of how he would do. Especially since Kenflo had what two title shots and three contender matches for the LW belt

Could you imagine the size difference between Jose Aldo and Melvin Guillard or Gleison Tibau?
