I think Machida is going to toss Rampage around like a sack of dirty laundry. Rampage is an inside fighter while Machida likes to keep his range and look for mistakes. Rampage will try to close the distance and by doing so, he will eat a knee from Machida or will fall victim to a sweep which will put Rampage on his back (the worst place for him to be in a fight). Rampage will only win this fight if he is faster than Machida, and I am not sure if he will be able to gain the speed necessary to dismantle that time bomb.

Thats respectable. Im glad you analyzed the fight in which you think it will go. I dont know about tossing around. Rampage has a very solid base. He could eat a knee from Machida, but that is as likely has Machida eatting a left hook first.
Speed will be very important in this fight. What also will be important is to see if Machida can actually take a hit to the juggular.

I might catch heat for this, but Tito Ortiz also has a solid base and although he is WAYYYY past his prime, (and still was past his prime when he fought Machida) he still has a solid base as a wrestler. He got thrown around like a rag doll. However, Machida will have a much tougher time with Page because of his superior boxing and all around brute strength. Rampage has the chin to absorb Machida's shots and finally give Machida a taste of what it's like on the receiving end of a beat down. Machida's best bet is to work on Rampage while he is on his back, maybe throw a kimura his way or something

WEll Johnny. For Titos excuse. He did just have major back surgery. He can say he is 100% all the time, but something tells me he hasnt been 100% in a few years. He has had history of back problems. This is all known.
I dont know if Machida could get Rampage down or how he is gonna. I agree, he would have to. Playing around on the feet could result him looking like Wandi or Chuck. Machida does keep his hands down alot and I am sure Rampage and Evans both see this and took notes. Very bad things happen when your hands are down. See Chuck, and Wandis last couple fights. Kos fell victim to this past weekend due to his hands down!

Now that I think about it, both are in the ring. Both fighters fought him with very little game film on him. There is quite a bit now though.
I don't even listen to what Rampage says anymore he Flips (Changes story) or doesn't know what he is talking about. He said in a interview caught on camera that PRIDE is the best and "F**k UFC..The UFC is nothing" and now he is all UFC this UFC that.
I just watch him fight and leave the room before he starts talking he is really dumb when it comes to serious stuff.

The Convo was about him going to UFC (This was a few months before Pride got bought). So it was a Opinion rather than what you stated.
If I was a promoter I wouldn't have guys who are criminals and say something borderline ignorant 50% of the time. Luckily for Page Dana send his lawyer to help his criminal employees.
Personally I think Rashad has a better shot at beating Machida than Jackson does.

You mean the way he stalked Forrest? Please. Rampage couldn't even beat Forrest so what makes you think he's going to beat Machida? Lucky punch maybe? That didn't even help him against Forrest and I think it's been proven that Forrest is quite KOable.
Oh and before anybody says that Rampage was with a bad camp back then, let's remember that he did defeat Chuck and Dan while with that camp.
Rashad has the best chance at beating Machida.
