If McGregor wins.... Are you in favor of him changing weight classes?

A fighter's health comes first, and making 145 has been brutal on both Aldo's and McGregor's bodies. Having to suck that much weight messes with a body's joint health, ligament health, brain health, kidney health, etc. The fact that Conor fights as well as he does, and has a ridiculously tough chin at 145, considering how tough his weight cut is should likely be considered a medical miracle. Regardless of who wins (GO CONOR!!!!!), I can honestly see this being the last Featherweight fight for both guys.
With that being the case, promise the winner of Frankie/Chad that they will be crowned Champion when Conor or Jose are ready to vacate the belt.

I commend his desire to identify and accept challenges. There are a lot of fighters who want to be the best, but lack the courage to do what it takes. Connor is an a--hole, but his fearlessness is to be respected.

Would love Pettis vs McGregor, McGregor vs Cerrone, McG vs RDA, or McG vs Duffy. Also if he losses I could see Pettis, Duffy, Hardy return @155, or Melendez

. Going by the looks of both men and their physiques as of a couple days ago, I don't think this cut will be so severe for either of them this time out. Conor kinda threw a curve ball with the potential new plan of not only winning the LW belt after he snatches this one, but defending both, alternating title defenses. I wonder if DW would make that exception of it were to happen as planned. He's said there will be no multi-divisional champs in the past but who knows? He got one bad mutherfucker to beat first though.

At the end of the day spidy I don't think Mcgregor is comfortable enough making weight at 145 to move between two divisions and defend at a championship level. There's some absolute murderers in both divisions and the strain of fighting in two divisions would surely take it's toll.

Oh I agree. I think he's talking a lil s---, how shocking is that?
. I agree with Norway. I liked how Conor looked fighting @ LW. I think he will do quite well there. Like I said, when they first announced He was on the roster, I predicted he'd hold two belts afore all was said and done. I stand by that no matter what.

Dos Anjos is a
nightmare
matchup for McGregor. Tread carefully Conor.

Conor welcomes nightmares just so he can give them nightmares.

To be honest I think it all depends how his knees hold up. If he had no further problems there I think he could possibly defend two belts even with the weight cut but it's a titanic task. Winning two belts and retaining them are a totally different thing though and knees are a mother f**ker.

I never thought he'd try and defend two belts though. Twas the curveball I was referring to. I seriously doubt he would be afforded the luxury even if he could pull it off. He just might do a one fight drop if the right opponent presents itself, such as Pettis was ready to do with Aldo.

Fair enough, retaining two belts is almost impossible for a variety of reasons but if the UFC thought there was enough dollars in it im sure they would accommodate the scenario where Mcgregor held two belts. It would even make sense in alot of cases if they wanted big PPVs between other divisions nach bhfuil?

He likes fighting man. barring injuries Conor is ready to go and I'm sure he'd fight as often as they would let him. He ain't skerd to scrap anytime/anyplace/ anyone. There's no denying that.

Do what I would do, and create a Hardcore Championship. That way, you have a second belt to defend when all the other contenders for the World Championship are occupied.

Aldo is the best at 155 or 145 so if Conor beats him then hell yeah move up.

I think hes the sort of person that doesn't want to achieve something (full champion) and stay there he seems like he always wants the next big thing I think he goes up to 155 straight away he's trying to make new history hold both at the same time
But I doubt Dana lets 2 weight classes go on hold he will vacate the belt and challenge the champion at LW

He has said as much but McGregor might convince him to change his mind. If anyone could actually bounce back and forth without holding up the division's I'd bet on him. It is pretty unrealistic though and I expect him to go straight for the LW strap if he beats Aldo.

I think Conor will move up whether he wins or not, and I don't think he is interested in a rematch with Aldo. He has already spent a year getting ready for Aldo, it's time to move on win or lose.
If he loses, I don't know what he'll say, but I don't think he will go into hiding like Ronda. He will come back and fight at LW and still be popular.

The title seems secondary at this point. Obviously the weight cut sucks, he's going regardless.

agreed. he looks horribly sick cuts. you cannot sustain those cuts without doing major damage eventually.

from what I saw in CW he just may be a better fighter @LW. I think he will assess his options after this upcoming weekend before deciding on which way to go. I'm leaning towards this being his last fight @FW. Definitely not a sure thing though. Once things play out, I'm sure he will voice what his future plans are.

Connor will be murdered at 55. Probably in the first or second fight. Plus if he leaves 45 without fighting Frankie, he's running like a b!tch.

He's doesn't have the first belt yet and we're already talking about a second?

Probly what you said when he started whipping @ss @145 too. Running like a b----? That's hilarious. One thing goes without debate. That dude is down to fight. Anytime/Anywhere/Anyone.

He be getting the first on the 12th. (I think)
. The LW title next fight, as I predicted, he will hold two belts before he's done.
He will be better as a LW. Scary innit?
