Lyoto's coming off a devastating loss, but the concensus seems to think he'll be victorious -one way or another- against a favorable matchup in Quinton "Rampage" Jackson.
So we are left with this: Who does he fight next?
*Would fans like to see him slug it out with Suga Rashad, in a re-match of sorts? (At some point, anyway?)
*What other matchups intrigue you as a LHW division fan?
*How about Tito Ortiz, since they went the distance the first time? :?

Machida vs winner of Little Nog/Bader most logical

If Machida and Bones win their next fight. make them go at it for the # 1 contender match

Yeah, after the fight with Vladimir Matyushenko, Jon Jones said that he wanted a Top 3 Fighter, and whoever wins Lyoto Machida/Quinton Jackson will be a top 3 fighter, Quinton Jackson will move up a spot and become the #3 Lightheavyweight in the world, and Lyoto Machida will keep his #2 Lightheavyweight in the world status if he wins. But I don't know if Dana White or Greg Jackson wants that, I mean he may be biting off way more than he chew, especially if he goes up against Machida, Machida could pose a whole lot of problems. I think they should give him Forrest Griffin, or the winner of Lil' Nog/Ryan Bader as a introduction into the Top 10 of the Lightheavyweight Division and we'll just see how he does against one of them. Other than that Randy Couture is a solid Top 10 in the UFC, but Randy I'd be surprised if he were able to throw Randy around the cage so easy. But after Lyoto Machida fights Quinton Jackson, if he should win, I think Randy Couture is the right option, that would be a good #1 Contendership Bout for the Mauricio Rua/Rashad Evans winner for sure, and Mauricio Rua REALLY wants to fight Randy Couture, he wanted to face him over Anderson Silva and Rashad Evans both for his first Title Defense.

Jones should fight the winner on Nog /Bader and set it up UFC 124 or 125. So they would be fighting at about the same time as Machida. And Machida should face the winner of that fight. Machida is still a step above them guys. And Nog, Bader and Jones are all deserving of a top contender fight. So I say let them guys fight it out to see who gets to fight Lyoto for the top contender spot.

I'm pretty sure thats going to Bones Jones.
But Machida(if vic) should get the winner of nog/bader and/or Bones get the loser or winner of Machida/Rampage . (or even the loser of bader/nog)
I think Bones Jones will be the determining factor for the next few contention fights (which will effect machida) depending on how slow dana wants to build bones up.
Man if only Thiago wasn't hurt and Dana wasnt protecting Forrest and Rich from Bones Jones things would be more clearer.

Dana White should keeps Jon " Bones " Jones far away from Lyoto " The Dragon " Machida if he ever wants him to get a potential title shot. I just think Jones fighting Machida is such a terrible matchup for Jones.

Funny, because when "the Machida Era" began, Jones was the one up-and-coming fighter who I gave any kind of chance at capturing the title. When Shogun came along and beat Machida twice, I wasn't surprised at all bc I knew the scope of Shogun's talent from watching him back in Pride. But I'd much rather Machida get a shot at the title again and IF he wins ... then throw him in there with Jones. Jones vs Machida without a title on the line.... that just doesn't seem right on some level.

Machida won't fight nog because they train together and I don't think bader is ready for machida. I would like to see him against couture if he beats toney.

I think Machida should fight Jones before he gets a title shot. He just fought Shogun twice and just got demolished. I'd hate to see Machida win 1 fight against someone that he matches up good against and then go fight Shogun for the third time. Nobody would even be interested in that fight. Jones poses a different threat to Machida with his unorthodox striking, slick takedowns and brutal gnp. Machida needs atleats 2 wins before he goes and gets destroyed again.

I just hope he isn't thrown back in there again with Shogun to soon. Been there, done that. Twice.

^^^ That's exactly my point. Nobody wants to see Machida fight Shogun again for a while. He should beat Rampage, Bader if he wins and Bones if he wants another shot.
