The light in the window is a crack in the sky
A stairway to darkness in the blink of an eye
A levee of tears to learn she'll never be coming back
The man in the dark will bring another attack
Your mama told you that you're not supposed to talk to strangers
Look in the mirror tell me do you think your life's in danger here, yeah
No more tears
No more tears
No more tears
No more tears
Another day passes as the night closes in
The red light goes on to say it's time to begin
I see the man around the corner waiting, can you see me?
I close my eyes and wait to hear the sound of someone screaming here
No more tears
No more tears
No more tears
No more tears
So now that it's over can't we just say good-bye?
I'd like to move on and make the most of the night
Maybe a kiss before I leave you this way
Your lips are so cold, I don't know what else to say
I never wanted it to end this way, my love, my darling
Believe me when I say to you in love I think I'm falling here
No more tears
No more tears
No more tears
No more tears

cut the veteran who makes 60K per year, and hire a new guy who will do the same job for 25K per year. That's the American Way!

I'm starting to lose track too. I used to watch the Facebook fights all the time. But I refuse to pay for Fight Pass, out of principle. So I miss a lot of debuts. Plus the Fight Pass exclusive events have a lot of debuts too. Lot of fighters are missing out on viewers and potential fans.

I think Strike Force had a good format to promote the new fighters. I forget what they called those cards but it was just to push the new guys. I think the UFC will start doing that will their Fight Pass Cards, cause its an insult for the bigger stars to fight on Fight Pass where not everyone can see them and I am sure they get a lot less from endorcements on those cards.

Yea, it's a chore keeping up with all the new additions and relative no names.

In this case, the vet had 2 wins in his last 8 fights. And the vet was making far more than 60k per year.

Not really, those cards would have been broadcast on FS2/Fuel, which generally had 150-300k viewers. And the Facebook fights were seen by ten of thousands, which is likely even fewer than see them on Fight Pass.

It was good, but the Challenger shows did 140-250k viewers and attendance was generally pretty bad.
One thing to keep in mind about Fight Pass fights: They are generally being seen, in that region, in Prime Time. Gus/Minowa were seen by around one million in England, several times the number had it taken place in U.S. Prime Time (which is what would be required for it to be live on FS1).
So some fighters have to balance international exposure vs. U.S. exposure.

The new fighters that fought on the Challengers card probably averaged about $3k for show money, and the cards probably turned a small profit, but they were on a pay channel too which wouldn't get as many viewers. I think people who get pay for fight pass are probably more hardcore fans and the new generation of fighters would work ok on fight pass.
You're right about the International Audience with fight pass cards though. Being American I forget about the rest of the world sometimes, and I didnt realize that Gus/Minowa was so viewed around the world. I figured Gus being on the video game cover would headline bigger events after his fight with Jones.

Exactly what is being watered down? Free TV cards? There weren't that many of those a few years ago. Fight Pass cards? Didn't even exist a few years ago. PPV cards? With the exception of UFC 161, every one of last year's PPV cards was about the same level as the cards were 3-5 years ago (if you look at where the fighters on the main card were ranked when the fights took place). I'll gladly pull up rankings to prove it, just name a card from the past (except UFC 100, because that one blows up each and every card in the last 10 years right out of the water) and I'll put it up against some of last year's PPVs.
Watering down is a myth. You just don't care about MMA as much anymore. And that's not on the UFC, that's on you.

Let me put it this way: The Challenger shows did very poor numbers for Showtime. The average payroll for those shows was about 90k, the average gate 50-60k.
