In Rio de Janeiro, I ran into Jaime Marcelo. He's an MMA / Vale Tudo fighter and holds a championship belt in the
INFERF
Real Fight MMA promotion.
I can't find his fights on Sherdog.
It seems like a lot of MMA fighters in other countries fight in promotions which the "official sources" (i.e. Sherdog's Fight Finder) are unaware of.
Does anyone know anything about the INFERF?
Jaime told me they sometimes pass off their events as pro wrestling to get around anti-MMA regulations.

never heard of it. would love to see some fights from it though. Brazil is nuts with their vale tudo.

ya apparently a lot of the brazilian fighters records are incorrect.
i heard someone mention even charles ovileira record might not be as good as it looks.

Does "Luta" translate to "fight"? I don't know Portugese, but "Luta" seems to share the same root as the French word for wrestling.
