Ok first you all want an explanation. The fighter of the year will track the best JEC fighter over the course of the year.
The following are included in the fighter of the year tally...
1. Win and score more then 10 percent higher then the average score = 4 points
2. Win your fight and score within 95 to 110 percent of the average score = 3 points
3. Win your fight but score less then 95 percent of the average score = 2 points
4. Lose your fight but score more then 10 percent higher then the average score = 1 point
Additions to winning from contenders or title fights...
1. Win a title fight = 2 additional points
2. Loss a title fight = 1 additional point
3. Participait in a #1 Contenders Bout = 1 additional point
High Score Bonus'
1. High Score = 3 additional points

There must be a mistake. My 6-9 record should have me WAY higher up!
J/k... Pretty cool BB. You have too much time on your hands though my friend.

This is only for the last 3 events as its 2009 Fighter of the Year.
Also it took me about 45 minutes to add this to pull automatically from the JEC rankings spreadsheet.

Very cool idea buff. So please don't take my questions as criticism.

2) Is that within as in 90% - 110% of the average?
3) If you score less than 95% of the average score, say, 93% of the average for example, isn't that "within 10%"?

Losing a contender fight is equal to losing a championship fight?
EW's humble suggestions:

you're right about that, but I'm guessing that the way the formula is set up on this the scoring is correct for this situation and somebody with 93% wouldn't get double points, the formula would pick them up on the 90-110 criteria and only those under 90 would reach the under 95 criteria

I actually changed the formular when I realized almost no winners ever scored under 90 percent, so I changed it to 95 but didnt change that explanation.
It should read if you score at 95 percent to 110 percent of the average = 3 points.
Also with the contenders fights. There is a method to the madness. If you win a contenders fight you are in a title fight where if you lose you get an additional point.
Therefore for winning a contenders fight you are esentially guarenteed 2 points.

Yeh
I'm pretty sure you don't compete in the JEC, just the JFC. This is for the JEC only

Blue --
Thanks, as always, my friend. Way to add another layer to the JEC.
BTW -- I am currently in negotiations right now to have the JEC FOTY (and JFC FOTY assuming we can pull that together) awards sponsored by MMAjunkie.com. ManupWear has been amazing, but this award has to be a big deal!!!

holy toledo! wtf is the difference? is this like smackdown and raw? is there a foty thing for jfc?
cast and blue ... koos who is 8-6 is calling me out. i'm 5-0. i believe he's ranked below me so is that a fight my managers would normally tell me to decline and ask for a guy ahead of me?
OR
is that a good fight for me? we talked about it on tagg radio today and trigg was telling me that quite possibly, koos might've beaten 8 tough opponents and lost to 6 great opponents while a guy who is 16-4 beat 16 cans and lost to 4 so-so guys.
not trying to slight koos at all, just inquiring.

GG Koos is alright. He is a good guy, and me and him put up a spectacular score and likely one of the highest ever for a 10 fight card.
He is a worthy opponant, I can vouch for that.

Oh, and I hope to have the JFC fighter of the year up by this weekend at some point. I am in the process of working on some things.
