I dont think so but you hear how highly he talks of roy Jones Jr and how he is his Idol and they are friends and he said he wants to fight him after he is done with UFC but he wont fight Machida because they are friends. I just dont get it.

No.
RJJ is past his prime, and doesn't have any titles. Win or lose, it's just another payday for him. Lyoto on the otherhand has just worked his way up the ladder, and won the title. Losing would mean he has to reclimb that ladder, and means he'll get paid less during this process.

Him and Roy arent friends like he is friends with Machida. He trains with Machida, they know each others weaknesses if there are any. He can't even talk to Roy so maybe they are cool with eachother but it isnt like they are buddies.

That's a very good point, however I don't recall anyone ever asking him about it. It has come up a few times for AS though.
I really think they are too close to ever fight, and if DW pushes the issue, I can see another Randy Couture soap opera coming out of it.
I would love to see this fight though.

Machida has stated in an interview that he would prefer not to fight Silva because they are friends and training partners. I don't think either is "scared" of the other ... there are plenty of challenges in the world. MMA is a brutal combat sport where serious injuries are a risk any time you step in the cage, it's not like a pick-up game of basketball. People should stop trying to make them fight each other.

IDK but I would pay double or even triple the PPV cost to see them fight. This would be an epic war if somehow they could stop holding hands and show the world who is really the best p4p fighter in the world. First off, Lyoto joked that he would fight AS for $1,000,000. Second, think before you speak. Neither fighter is an aggressor, both are patient and counter. I'm not saying I wouldn't enjoy watching for a few minutes, but they aren't going to throw many strikes, and I think its highly unlikely that there will be a finish. If you thought Silva vs Cote or Silva vs Leites was boring, you haven't seen anything yet.

Well said, for all their talents and abilities, very little of their fights are exciting. The Machida/Tito fight was like watching paint dry and AS is pretty boring until he explodes, I can only watch a muy thai clinch and knees for so long before I am getting up for a sandwich. Give me a Sam Stout/ Spencer Fischer Fight anyday over those two guys.

There is a difference between idol and friend. I wont mind fightng my idol but i can't fight my friend.
