This gif is graphic and shows Jack Marshman hitting the hyper-extended arm.
Question for this thread is: Should it or should it have not been stopped?

As soon as that arm got hyperextended like that, ref should have stopped it. Dumb move by Professor X to not tap and risk permanent damage, but a ref's job is to protect the fighters, and the ref epically failed on that one.

I disagree. I think the ref made the right move and allowed him to work out of it. Just because we think it looks nasty, doesn't mean it should be stopped. Prof. X was fine, even after all that. He never showed that he felt that arm bend, and maybe he's just freaky flexible, like Dan Hardy. It'd be unfair of him to prematurely call it off to Prof. X. Until he could see clear serious injury, or a tap, he should be allowed to work his way out of that submission.

Xavier went on to pretty much dominate, Marshman had some close submission but nothing tight enough to take out the Prof.
