Gutted about the Khamzat and Conor pullouts.
Fortunately Rob got a good replacement and Bellator have a genuine WW title fight to look forward to.
We shall also finally find out if Norbert Novenyi can push on to the higher echelons.

I still don't understand why Jackson is fighting the #10 guy seemingly out of nowhere, other than the obvious (he is an ov, so they're rolling out the red carpet). Also seems like the Bellator cards so far have been really thin. Last one didn't even feature a single active champion. This card has exactly one. Bellator has a lot of champions. They should be able to book 2 title fights on these "Champion" cards.
Feel the same about the two pullouts. I'm interested to see both guys fight still, but I've lost all faith in them at this point. Whether the injury and illness are "real" or whatever doesn't even matter anymore. Chimaev is the least reliable guy in the UFC at this point. It's sad to have watched his career slowly fall apart. There are so many great fights we never got to see when it would have mattered.

All agreed.
I believe Dong did actually say that every Belly card would have two title fights. I may be mistaken though.
I would have made this fight 100%.
This ov just seems so damn good that you may as well make the fight.
The rankings committee is utter garbage and probably just don’t know who he is. Which is OK for a casual fan coz he is a true Ov and only fights once a year.
I suspect he’s world top 5 though. Not just Belly. And I’ve got Jackson at 2.
Let’s see.
Just can’t wait to see how Novenyi handles Dalton ‘big lats but benefits from a weak’ Rosta. I have high hopes for him if he passes this test.

You put him over Leon or Shavkat?
If he has a hard time in this fight you he'd have to be considered way below #2 just like Mix

You don't sound like the casual you're always claiming to be.

I put him at 2. Below Leon.
In this case I may reassess based on the fight but it’s not a sure thing, coz I suspect Kuramag might be absolutely outstanding.
I never thought Mix was that great. Very good, but I was not on the train.
Just hunches and opinions. Let’s see how they go.

Semi-casual fight fan. Semi-amateur chef and musician.
It’s the reality I’m afraid.

Well I've never heard semi casual fight fans sound so knowledgeable. Hell you know more than my buddies that act like they are real fans but don't know anything other than big names in the UFC.

Oh. They’re def. casuals, but I often find casuals and kids are the best judge of fighters.
They don’t see much but reality.
They see clearly when a fighter is scared or shot, but hardcores make convoluted stories in their own mind to make it a competitive fight. Then get surprised when a 35 year old injured drunkard loses badly. Not saying Smith is that, or Conor, or Volk, or Izzy.
I slip in to that trap sometimes. So I like to stay at least semi-casual.
Same reasons I stay semi amateur in the entertainments game. I don’t want to lose my vision and enjoyment of what really constitutes good food and music.
