This is an easy call.
One guy is a proven top contender, with a close loss against Hendricks while the other lost to Condit and Rick Story decisively.
I'm picking Josh "Bob Forrest" Koscheck to win via TKO strikes (round 1).

I think Ellenberger is going to TKO him. Not that Koscheck isn't tough, but ever since his fight with GSP his stand-up has been a bit weird.
I think they give Ellenberger a split decision victory actually now that I think about it.

hes more worried about protecting that eye then striking i think i dont think it will ever fully heal from what gsp did to it

Ellenberger TKO's Koscheck. Koscheck and his eye haven't been the same since the GSP fight. He was a little less gun shy against Hendricks but I'm pretty sure if he tags Koscheck cleanly once the fight will be over.

Makes total sense..Its a 50/50 fight IMO..Both have the punching power to trouble each other and(almost) equal wrestling..I give the slight edge to Koscheck but it's a close one to call..
I hope Ellenberger knocks him out though..

Im confused, were you talking about Ellenberger? He lost to Kampmann....And lets not forget he nearly beat Condit and had Kampmann nearly finished as well. Also beat a few guys that are contenders too.
And you are also forgetting that Koscheck has been in some damn close fights too. Nearly losing to Peirce and getting KOed by Paulo Thiago
Im picking Ellenberger

This is a wonderful match up. Not sure if it should be co-main event with them both coming off losses but it should be a fun fight.

Josh Koscheck vs. Jake Ellenberger booked for UFC 151 in Las Vegas
by Matt Erickson on Jul 18, 2012 at 7:35 pm ET
A pair of perennially Top 10-ranked welterweights will meet at UFC 151 in September.
Josh Koscheck (17-6 MMA, 15-6 UFC) and Jake Ellenberger (27-6 MMA, 6-2 UFC) will fight in the co-main event in Las Vegas. UFC officials Wednesday night announced the fight, saying verbal agreements between the two fighters are in place for the bout.
UFC 151 takes place Sept. 1 at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The event's main card airs live on pay-per-view while FX and Facebook host preliminary-card fights. The main event is a light heavyweight title fight between champion Jon Jones and former Strikeforce champ Dan Henderson.
Koscheck (17-6 MMA, 15-6 UFC) is coming off a close split-decision loss to Johny Hendricks at UFC on FOX 3 this past May. That loss snapped a two-fight win streak for the the polarizing cast member of the inaugural edition of "The Ultimate Fighter."
"Kos" had put together back-to-back wins over Matt Hughes – a knockout with one second left in the first round at UFC 135 – and Mike Pierce, whom he beat by split decision in February. In December 2010, he lost a five-round unanimous decision to Georges St-Pierre at UFC 124 after coaching opposite the champ on "TUF 12."
The fight against Ellenberger will be Koscheck's 22nd in the UFC, which ranks him among the promotion's all-time leaders for number of fights in the company.
Ellenberger in June suffered his first loss since a split-decision defeat to Carlos Condit in his UFC debut in September 2009. After that setback, Ellenberger went on a six-fight win streak with four knockouts. The highlights of the two-plus-year run included a 53-second knockout of Jake Shields this past September and a "Fight of the Night" unanimous decision win over Diego Sanchez in February.
But in the headliner of the TUF 15 Finale, Ellenberger was caught by Martin Kampmann with a knee in the second round and put away 1:40 into the frame to snap his long streak.

Two top 10 WWs. I think its a good co-main especially after all the recent injuries, there prolly isnt much to choose from

Not giving Koscheck much of a chance here. I know anything can happen but his striking just isn't on the same level and his wrestling is now overrated. I'll say Ellenberger hits the famous eye and this one's done in round 2.

Do you really believe Koscheck is still a top 10 WW? I'm not so sure anymore.

Those aren't bad actually. I think I'd still have Koscheck at #10. I know he's a gamer and all but he's just too one dimensional to stay in it for much longer. I think both Fitch and Koscheck will be out of everyone's top 10 once we see more of Erick Silva and Rory Macdonald. Trust me, Ellenberger crushes him in this one.

Ya Im picking Jake in this fight too. I just cant jusify taking Kos down that far until those guys either beat people higher than him and/or beat him. The only guys he has lost to recently are ahead of him and in the top 5. Same with Fitch...

Mind explaining that?
I for one, love this fight! Perfect match-up.
It's going to be another close one, Koscheck's cardio may give him the edge though.
Both guys have some serious power, but Ellenberger has shown that he can land it over and over again.

Kos wins this. Kos beat Hendricks in my opinion as well. Don't know what the judges were watching that fight.
