Um he decided to stop himself cause Irvin was getting up...pretty sure thats what a GOOD ref is supposed. Irvin got dropped but wasnt done.

Then he shouldn't have stepped in and kept the guy from hitting him. That's what s***ty refs do. The 2 or 3 shots that the guy hesitated to throw because the ref stepped in could have put Irvin to sleep for good.
"STOP! DON'T HIT HIM! Oh nevermind, he's ok now that you stopped, continue."

DeAnda didnt stop attacking...You say that like its impossible for someone to look like theyre done, and as you you go to stop it you notice he is starting to defend himself.what else are you going to do? continute the stoppage and f**k over irvin?

Rosenthal pushed him backwards about a foot, and instead of throwing punches to the head from the side, he has to throw from behind Irvin, which not only stopped him from throwing a couple punches but now his shots aren't as powerful.
Yes, if you step in and push a guy off, you should stop the fight, not hinder the guy thats attacking and then let it continue. Either way he was screwing someone over, in this case he screwed over the guy with no name. He shouldn't have stepped in while assessing the situation, he should have stood back and let it play out before stepping in.
Rosenthal is one of the better refs, right behind Big John, but this was a bad job done on his part on that night.
