Why is drew dober still in the UFC?
Varner vs Cruickshank, Thomson, Jim Miller or Evan Dunham would've all been 1000x better, regardless though i'm excited to see Varner get back in the cage

So Varner can get a free win and be marketed to such fighters as Jim Miller, Darren Cruickshank etc while being given a pick me up fight to sell those fights even more. those guys very well could get fluff opponents as well.

I will more than likely be at this event, so having Varner on the card is great. Been a big fan, for a long time.

I've become a fan of his since his UFC return. He seems to have a much better attitude that sort of came with age.

He is more humble now then when he was in the WEC, and I think that came with age and also his time outside of a big MMA org. He fell on hard times, and lost some fights that he should not have. He is one of those fighters I think just had the natural talent to fight, and thought that was good enough.... Until it wasn't. While it seems like Jamie has been fighting forever he is only 29.... I am glad they are giving him this fight.. He is on a 3 fight skid, and they could have just cut him outright. If he wins here, it can get him back on track, or derail him again. I hope he gets the W. I don't ever expect him to be a champ again, but he always brings a fight....
