"With Ken Shamrock's recent suspension by the California State Athletic Commission for a failed drug test, the hybrid boxing/MMA event "March Badness" was left with a hole in the evening's MMA main event.
According to a new report from VERSUS.com, that void has been filled by former "TUF" cast member Jason Guida (17-19), who will now take on Bobby Lashley (1-0).
The event, promoted by the event's boxing headliner Roy Jones Jr. and his Square Ring Promotions company, takes place at the Pensacola Civic Center in Florida on March 21 and airs on pay-per-view.
Brother of UFC lightweight Clay Guida, heavyweight Jason Guida is perhaps best known for his short-lived stint on "The Ultimate Fighter 8." Guida was unable to make weight for his preliminary bout and was replaced for ever fighting on the program.
Guida dropped all three of his 2008 contests, and is just 3-7 in his past 10 bouts.
Lashley, a two-time NAIA national wrestling champion who wrestled with the WWE from 2005 to 2008, made his MMA debut in December. There, the American Top Team product scored a swift 41-second TKO of Joshua Franklin.
In the only other formally announced MMA contest, former top UFC heavyweight contender Jeff Monson (27-8) takes on IFL heavyweight champion Roy "Big Country" Nelson (13-3).
On the boxing portion of the card, Jones Jr. (52-5), an eight-time world champion and former Olympian, takes on Omar Sheika (27-8) in a light-heavyweight contest.
After a recent request to Square Ring Promotions for information on the remainder of the hybrid card, MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) was told that no further bouts were ready to be officially recognized."

I wonder if we'll be able to bet on whether or not Jason puts his hands on the referee.

Wow. Didn't think they could find a worse opponent for Lashley than Ken....close enough!

Exactly! I was done with Jason Guida after he didn't make weight for TUF, then I had to watch him get his butt handed to him in SHOXC and then push a ref and not be banned from MMA like he should of been for at least a year or until he stopped being a d-bag on several different levels. I hope Lashley permanently retires Jason for good after this fight. I hate watching this guy fight after he keeps getting more and more chances to fight when he doesn't deserve it. He's very lucky that his brother is Clay and actually well-respected in the UFC or he would of already been kicked to the curb by MMA in general for what he has done IMO. He's a constant disgrace to MMA everytime he shows up IMO

Let the UFC sign Bobby Lashley and build him up like they did with Cain Velasquez.

Shamrock might have even had a better chance than this guy.

Unfortunately, just like Brock Lesnar's case, he's already got to big of a name from his WWE Career to throw him into the UFC and build him up. If he went to the UFC he would imediately be fighting the best because of his size and his popularity, just like they did with Brock, they have no choice because of the money he would require, they would have to make their money back on big events. I think Bobby knows that and that's why he has said he's going to the smaller organizations to build up his career before he goes to the UFC. He know's he's gonna get there eventually, just doesn't want to do it until he's ready for "Brock Lesnar Style" competition

How much is Lashley making right now in his current deal?

I dont know what is more shocking the Jason Guida vs. Bobby Lashely or Roy Jones having 57 professional fights.
