He apologized immediately after via twitter. Dana is gonna take heat for this, bad bad move. This situation can not be compared to Paul Daley hitting Kos after the bell or holding submissions too long like Palhares its just no where near as bad.
Dana has so much to deal with with the media especially now with the Chael situation. He was probably getting asked about the High situation a lot and said f--- it cut him so he doesn't have to hear it anymore. I don't think they shouldve at all, but its not a big loss for the UFC.

They can say released or cut, but that was his 4th UFC fight. Probably the last on his deal. Can't push a ref.
As long as DW doesn't come out and say he will never fight for the UFC again... High can make it back.
As others have said I bet this was his last of a four fight deal. Pushing the ref made it easy to not resign, and a quick chose too.

Dana would explain that this is fighting and Ronda is a serious competitor, that we should stop being pussies about this and realize that tensions flare up. Especially with so much on the line.
