Watching this vlog I was pretty surprised to hear Jones' "thoughts" on the Evans/Davis matchup. I put that in quotes, because what he said struck me more as not what he really thinks, but what he thought would get under Rashad's skin.
Personally, I don't know many who would give Davis the edge in striking in this matchup. My impression of him is a young fighter who's still in the middle of the metamorphosis from wrestler to full-fledged mixed martial artist, whereas Rashad has already gone through his "discovery of striking" phase, realized it as tool to be used, and returned to his roots while keeping it in his toolbelt.
I dunno, maybe I'm just a hater, or way off base, but I was genuinely surprised to hear what pretty much sounded like trash talk from a guy who is constantly referred to as humble. I was actually curious to hear his take on the fight, and came away turned off even more from the guy for being petty. Thoughts?

No Jones, if anyones going to win via "laying" it'll have to be Davis. That being said, Rashad definitely doesn't have the best chin, but I don't think Davis has the skills to exploit that weakness.

Bones is absolutely just trying to get in Rashad's head. I don't think he believes Rashad has a weak chin.
Rashad won tuf as a heavyweight, thus taking at least a couple shots from much bigger, stronger men.
Not to mention he's lost one career fight, albeit an absolutely decisive one.
Aside from Machida Rashad's only been stumbled by Rampage I believe.

Rashad's Chin is above average. But so is Phil's, unless proven otherwise.

Evans took a lot of damage before he went down in the Machida fight. Against Rampage and Thiago everytime he got hit he managed to tie them up. I hated the Silva fight for that reason exactly but to say he has a weak chin is simply wrong.

Rashadds been rocked by GRIFFIN, machida, jackson, thiago, and I think tito but I can't remember well on that fight

that's exactly what he's doing and it doesn't surprise me. Jones is trollin.

Again, couldn't agree more. However, our only difference is Im not surprised given their history and jbj's personality. His humbleness is a front.

I'm just tired of the Evans/Jones constant trash talking. I'm pretty sure they're never going to fight, even if Evans beats Davis this weekend, so it's just stupid high school stuff.

If the fight happens, all the "hate" will vanish.
"He's a though dude, it was a hard fight, I always respected him as a fighter, BLA, BLA, BLA ..."
It becomes boring.. It's not even trash talk, neither funny.
I really like JBJ, but he needs to be natural. Trash talk, get under someone's skin isn't is thing.
Like Rashad said, he was a good guy before he was the champ. I don't like his interviews and stuff anymore :/

Rashad's chin is among the better chins in mma. To think otherwise proves ignorance to what "chin" means in combat sports.

Jones is just a hater. If your chin can take a clean shot from Thiago Silva(11wins by KO) Rampage(14 wins by KO) and Iceman(13 wins by KO) and you not go to sleep, Im pretty damn sure your chin doesnt suck.

He got rocked by Rampage, got rocked by Silva, and didn't even get hit by Iceman. If it wasn't for his wrestling, he would have lost 2 of those 3 fights you mentioned. His chin is suspect to say the least.

It's funny that what it means is always dependent on what YOU think it means. Ever think that maybe just because you think it means something, doesn't necessarily mean it is what you think it is.
If a guy gets rocked all the time, then his chin is weak. His ability to recover is something else entirely. He may not be getting knocked out cold all the time like he did against Machida, but his chin definitely isn't among the best.
