PROS PICKS - JEC 48 (Strikeforce/KOTC)
JEC Title Fight
metalmike00 vs MMA-P6U6N6X
srdafish
- I think this fight will be a draw
Mollica93
- Mike
GoodCat
- Gotta go with metalmike until he loses
TheSheriff
- metalmike00. He's reigning supreme and I expect him to KO MMAboy without too much trouble
MadXyientist
- Very strong matchup against two top competitors. P6U6N6X is brash, but I think he brings the game to back it up. I think the early rounds (KOTC fights) will be the difference and P6U6N6X will finally end metalmike00's tital reign by decision
uchoo786
- metalmike00
SweetJFromTheBay
- MMA-P6U6N6X
Silvaftw
- I have to go with my Boy Mike by Decision , i think it will be a very close fight and will come down to 1 fight
ThunderCat
- Metalmike's run is what we all strive for but how much longer can he go before faltering really?! Will all the GP funny business affect his training? PUNX is a good fighter in his own right and beat me in a contenders match.....I'll take the underdog here...PUNX FTW!
Ph1sh
- MMA-P6U6N6X. PUNX is 10-3 and on his own little win streak. He also beat mike at JEC37, and with mike getting kicked out from his camp part way though, I think he may have the case of the "Paul Buentellos".
RJCT
- Mike has had a great run but I think it ends here
metalmike00
= 5
MMA-P6U6N6X
= 5
Draw
= 1
JEC Number 1 Contender Fight
mmablaster vs philh4
srdafish
- Blaster should knock philh4 the f**k out
Mollica93
- philh
GoodCat
- well, blaster beat me last fight, so I'll go with him
TheSheriff
- mmablaster all the way, he's from a great camp and in fighting shape with all the activity in the GP. This should end early
MadXyientist
- It's hard not to like mmablaster in this fight. philh4 is underrated, but look for mmablaster to come out with a vengeance after the Bloodsport debacle and land a kill shot on philh4
uchoo786
- mmablaster
SweetJFromTheBay
- mmablaster
Silvaftw
- mmablaster will win for the fact that he trains with a better camp. JITSU Dont train for the JEC. Blaster by submission
ThunderCat
- I got blaster in this one via Aoki armbreak
Ph1sh
- mmablaster. blaster has been here before and he is hungrier this time. He just disposed of Goodcat with a FOTN performance, Danielsan, and Sessoms. blaster has beat the who's who of the JEC besides mike and El Diablo
RJCT
- mmablaster has put up some really good scores lately and I think that will continue here
mmablaster
= 10
philh4
= 1
Contender Fights
seufurt420 vs Scott123
srdafish
- Don't know much about either guy, but from what I do know about scott123 is that he doesn't win fights (no offense scott) so I'll go with seufurt by Sub
Mollica93
- scott
GoodCat
- I'm gonna take Scott123 in this one, cause he's already beaten seufurt once before
TheSheriff
- Experience goes to seufurt but last time around scott destroyed him. Expecting the same
MadXyientist
- I'm not very familiar with these two fighters, but
Scott123
is a veteran and bring some good cage tactics. I'll take him by submission
uchoo786
- seufurt420
SweetJFromTheBay
- Seufurt420
Silvaftw
- seufurt and scott is a coin flip... I think scott has been doing great lately.. Scot122 by decision
ThunderCat
- Seufurt420
Ph1sh
- Scott123. After losing 5 out of 6, seufurt has won his past 3 fights. He is balls to the walls and will either KO his opponant, or get KO'd himself. Last time they faced, Scott handed him a 90-50 loss. I see this fight ending again with Scott winning with a KO keeping the same gameplan as their last fight
RJCT
- Seufurt420
seufurt420
= 5
Scott123
= 6
xgummyx vs NebraskanAssassin
srdafish
- Think I will go with xgummyx by Decision, he beat me in UJC so he should know what he's doing
Mollica93
- xgummyx - Lets go X-M
GoodCat
- I'm gonna go with N A on this one cause even though gummy has won 3 in a row, 2 of those have been back to back agisnst the same person. And he started out 0-2
TheSheriff
- NA has too many holes in his game. Gummybear should whoop his ***
MadXyientist
- Two streaking fighters meet, I'll take Nebraskan Assassin to get the win by decision on the heels of his launch of J-1 Global, completing a strong week
uchoo786
- Nebraskan Assassin
SweetJFromTheBay
- xgummyx
Silvaftw
- Xgummyx by KO to face scott123 for the #1 contender fight
ThunderCat
- Assassin
Ph1sh
- Nebraskan Assassin. gummy has beat Hbase two times in a row, but that is two of his three wins. NA wins this with his experience in the JEC, but gummy will come back strong as he is learning the league quickly
RJCT
- Nebraskan Assassin
xgummyx
= 5
NebraskanAssassin
= 6

JUNKIE COMBAT SPORTS
The JFFNews recently stopped by the JCS training facility to catch up with Kubz, to see what he had to say about his team mates.
Training Initiator
Ever since I was invited to join up by JCS TaiMaiShu has been the initiator on at least 90% of the fights. With the rest of the guys filling in the gaps when needed
Hardest Trainer
Tough call, almost every event someone steps up huge and puts a lot of work into training, but I’d say if I had to pick it would be a tie between Tobikan-Judan and Tai, both of them work very hard and push the rest of us to train harder
Best Tactician
I don’t think I can pick just one, we all are very experienced fighters and all make the best use of hedging and lock order, Rees and KPEAZY usually will be the first ones to suggest hedging almost all the fights that we can’t come to a decision on…haha. I think it is just something we all do well and it just takes experience and time
Luckiest Member
More recently I would have to say it is me, I have had a few fights that weren’t fight of the night material that I managed to get away with a decision. But I think everyone has there lucky streaks, it could be as easy as lucky matchups in the JEC at a tough asian event or something like you get matched up against the only guy who picks diego over penn.
Unluckiest Member
Tai, maybe its because I feel bad because he trains so hard, but I remember back a few events JEC and UJC/JFC he had such a tough losing streak I think there even was an event that all of us as a team did very well and we went 5-1, with Tai being the lonely 1. But to his credit he works just as hard after a loss (or two) than a win
Worst Trainer
Well I hate to say it because he actually is a great guy and does do some fantastic write-ups on events, but its DougDrex. And the only reason I am calling him out is because he failed to make weight for the first round of the Team GP. But like I said when he isn’t dealing with other commitments he does write up some great work for the Tampa Examiner ([admin]http://www.examiner.com/x-7825-Tampa-MMA-Examiner?showbio[/admin])
And just so i don’t feel bad, I also have had my moments in recent events where I haven’t been there 100% for the team training, and as a team at JCS we all understand that there are times when we may be unable to give 100% at training due to work, school and other commitments
Best Fighter
I think each one of us on the team brings something to the table that makes us all more knowledgeable, Tai watches tons of videos on guys and gives us great breakdowns, Tobikan-Judan provides very well thought out breakdowns which look at all aspects of both fighters, Doug knows and covers the sport for a living and does a great job of it. Rees gives us the short and sweet, no BS about each fight (plus he was the only one who even gave shogun a chance). KPEAZY provides help to fill in the gaps when we are in need of some help. And I just try to keep up with all of them, sometimes you get to training a day or two too late to only see that everyone has broken down everything about every fight, and I think that’s what makes JCS such a great team
Most Knowledgeable
Tobikan-Judan, he does a great job in both JEC and the JFC, Blue has called him a legend in the sport and I think his talent and training has wore off on me and the rest of the team for sure because in the JEC, Me and Tai have had contenders and #1 contender bouts (maybe a title fight too, not 100% sure if Tai had one or not) and I have even held the King of Asia title and a lot of that credit goes to the knowledge of TJ, we have had some very good discussions on JEC cards. But also I don’t want to discount the success KPEAZY has been having in the UJC, he has been working very hard to get to the top over there.

Tomorrow, the JFFNews will be stopping by the Chute Boxe Training facility to catch up with TheSheriff

Good job on the news.

quick question
Why in the world would mollica93 get a pro pick and I don't?
Crazy

I think it is an insurance thing....too much of a liability with you being underage. I believe the age limit to be considered for Pro's Pick is 16yrs old.

Regarding the pros picks. I forgot to do them, and only remembered last night. I asked some of the people who where online at the time.
But to be honest, I was planning on asking people like molica and uchoo anyway. I wanted to get a fresh perspective and ask some of the newer people in the leagues

I would think you would at least have to hair on your balls to make pro picks.

Thanks for the vote of confidence guys. I was surprised as anyone to be in a title fight.
Srdafish...Yeah that's pretty much my reputation. So no offence taken. I've had a terrible go in FF but really enjoying competiting. I've been training alot harder and am hoping to give seufurt420 a run for his money.
Good luck suefurt...I mean as much luck as I can wish you...cause...yeah... I really wanna hand it to ya. But good luck man.
And good luck to everyone else who is fighting. The title fight is gonna be good and I'm unna be rooting for Mike. No offence mmapunx. I like both you guys but only one can win.
The other contender fight should be great too.

punx is probably the best tactician in the game right now. he trains his *** off, so i wouldnt be surprised if he beat me. it comes down to methods and rounds this title fight.
my boy gummy is going to win, hes my apprentice
