Today I sat down with @MMAFTM. You have heard me talk about fighters here that I check to see their picks as soon as the H2H is posted and MMAFTM is one of those guys. He doesn't take fighters because they are favorites. He makes his picks based on stylistic matchup's. Some fighters would rather go with a 1-lock on a favorite they think will lose rather than have the brass balls to actually take who they think will win. MMAFTM hits these picks quite often. He took Tony Martin over Jake Matthews. He took Jessica Eye at +195 over Katlyn Chookagian. The man picks winners not favorites and I respect that.

FTM stands for “Fuk the Mags” My soccer team is Sunderland and Mags are Newcastle. Fuk Newcastle!

Who introduced you to MMA?
Me. Saw a video in 1997 in a shop and bought it for £17.99. It probably was UfC 1. Hated it. It bored the living shitt out of me. Never understood a damn thing in the grappling aspect. Few years later a guy at work wanted to sell me some tapes and DVDs of UFC and Pride. I did and I was hooked after that.
What was the first MMA event you ever saw?
Early 2000s in UFC. I think It was Couture v Chuck 1. Not sure though.
What was it about that event that roped you in? Or was it another MMA event that roped you in?
Pride showed the best fighters and best fights at the time. I used to buy Pride and UFC DVDs. Had quite a collection at one point.
What is your favorite aspect of MMA?
Technical grappling, technical striking or a good ole fist fight.

Who is your favorite fighter at the moment, and why?
I really love Brian Ortega at the moment. His attitude to fighting, his heart, chin, skills, his devotion to helping the homeless can’t go unnoticed. Once the man gets his striking on a par with his Juijitsu, sky’s the limit for this kid and he will be champion.
Who is your favorite fighter of all time, and why?
Fedor, because he is the GOAT. No man could touch him for 10 years. Anyone who says he was overrated or shitt blah blah blah is a damn fool.
How did you first hear about the JFF?
I saw a few posters at the time talk about it. I entered and the rest is history. @Maggotbrain was probably too drunk to remember, but he was the first guy that helped me get started. He’s one of the better guys here. Love that crazy drunken bastard. @smartigan messaged me to start a team and unfortunately for me, I’ve been lumbered with him ever since. #goodtimes
What made you decide to stay in the JFF and compete on a regular basis?
Apart from when I get fuked over repeatedly by a retarded fuk whit judge on each continent. It’s fun.
Who is your fantasy fighting idol?
I don’t have an idol. My father and Fedor is my idol. If I had to say who is the best ffer of all time it would have to be, in no particular order: Metal Mike, Danielsan, Bowser, Trig, then the rest......

My plan in 2019 is to go rogue, pick whoever I want for the fun aspect of this and win two games in a row at least. Once I do that, then I’m gonna do something really crazy and start fighting smart, so look out in 2019 cocksuckers!
