Today I sat down with @Slingshot. Slingshot/Josephdumas is coming up on his 10th year here in the JFF. While we all have seen his ups and downs in the FF community one thing you have to admit is that this kid from California isnt going anywhere. Yes he hasn't won the strap yet but he has strung together some good win streaks and has even had his opportunities to capture the gold. I am sure it is just a matter of time before he finally has it around his waist.

How did you come up with the name Slingshot:
First name that came to mind. I use to fight under josephdumas. I wanted to start fresh and new, so I renamed myself and wanted to stay under the radar. Unfortunately, @Buffaloblue posts all time records and Slingshot had 80 plus fights and @Skidds caught on and exposed my identity.

Who introduced you to MMA?
Myself. I watched UFC 48 and watched Frank Mir snap Tim Sylvia's arm off. I never missed another UFC since.
What was the first MMA event you ever saw?
UFC 1 was the first, fell in love with UFC 48, attended my first event at UFC 52
What was it about that event that roped you in? Or was it another MMA event that roped you in?
Like I said, Mir snapping Sylvia's arm off.
What is your favorite aspect of MMA?
Creating my own ranking system and updating my database. I have every fighter on the UFC active roster and have invented my own ranking system. It's fun to do and has helped me with betting.
Who is your favorite fighter at each of the 7 major male weight class?
Disrespectful not to include womens MMA

Chuck Liddell. Love how he was able to sprawl, and counter with a KO punch frequently
How did you first here about the JFF?
@Pejapola put up something on the general forum. It peaked my interest. Loved JFF since day one of learning about it.
What made you decide to stay in the JFF and compete on a regular basis?
Want that belt of course!
Who is your fantasy fighting idol?
None, I don't have idols in my life. I respect @Joegriz and @M0tives as fighters and in the real world @Sessoms and I would be friends probably.

I would like to personally congratulate @ILL BILL for winning the 2018 JFF FOTY again. That is 2 years in a row this man has dominated FFing. That is a feat that has never been accomplished by anyone in the long rich history of the JFF. I would ask @BuffaloBlue if it has even ever happened in FFing back in the early days at Fight HQ, MMAWeekly, or even TAGG Radio but I doubt it.
I would also like to say good luck to our Main Event and Co-Main Event competitors this weekend. These are some quality fights right here.
