You can be a "silent investor". Just continue to purchase ppv events, tshirts, dvds, toys, etc. It doesn't pay alot upfront (actually it pays nothing) but it creates better job security for you if/when you become a fighter.
Good luck!

Sweet, I'm going to make a shirt that says "MMA Silent Investor" and wear it to clubs, bars, the supermarket, work... then people will know I'm legit.

Yeah, or you can create an mma ponzi scheme to bilk investors out of millions. Just have them hand over their retirement and promise them 2-3 times the normal 8% rate of return. You can be the Bernie Madoff of mma.
Kinda like Affliction is doing....

and if you're retarded, you don't know anything about MMA, but aren't opposed to spewing shameless plugs in the middle of fight announcing, then you could fill in for mr. goldberg.

Goldie's faux pas are part of what makes the UFC so enjoyable
"I am coming out of the closet!"
"He's got him in some kind of strange choke I've never seen before!"
"That's a rear naked choke."
"Don't forget coming up next it's Blade the series...plenty of action, violence, vampire sexuality!"
"If Jardine's last name were Johnson, the nickname Dean of Mean would make no sense."
"He's like the Michael Jordan of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu!"
"It must take a lot of energy just to keep that mean look on his face"
"Dana White is my b----!"
"You know Roy Jones Jr. respects the hands of Forrest Griffin."
"That eye is rocked!"
"You know Joe, When Matt and his brother Mark Hughes were growing up they would pound each other behind the barn!"
"His precision is...really precise."
What's not to love?

I forget, when and why did Goldberg say this? Was it during the Bonnar fight?

All jokes aside, I'm sure there are tons of jobs in MMA, it just depends on your field, If you got really good to the point where you can compete, I don't see why you can't be an insturctor/corner man in a camp, or you could be the guy that takes the tickets at the door, althought they make work for the venue itself LOL... good luck man.

i think about this from time to time. there is a lot of postion of course like said cornerman/trainer, cutman or the doctor. promoter, ring annoucer, always growing clothing lines for MMA fans. refereeing, judging, journalist who actually knows everything about MMA not just the basics that have been ran by him after commetating for some other sport. fighter manager or PR guy for a small organization.

I thought Affliction's business model was to use clothing profits to shore up the MMA side, in turn generating advertising and brand awareness of the clothing brand.
