Jon Jones could not beat Ali and Tyson in a street fight. Here's why...

Chael Sonnen said that he believes that Jon Jones could beat Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali in a fight, both in one day. Let's assume all fighters are in their primes and that this is a no rules fight (Jones sure as heck isn't beating either guy in a boxing match...)
Is this a one-on-one fight? Because many "real fights" are not. Is Tyson or Ali bringing some buddies? Let's assume it's one-on-one and Jones fights and beats Ali. Takes him down and pounds him out.
Tyson's turn. What many people are failing to realize, is that Tyson is a BITER and a former thug/predator. If he EVER felt like he was losing the fight, Tyson would bite from any position. Rear naked choke? Jones' arm is getting chomped.
If you think that Jones would stick around in a street fight after getting bit, you are crazy because he is smarter than that. He'd run.

i'll take a prime mma champ in a street fight any day of the week against a boxer. Most street fights end up on the ground anyways.
also its chael sonnen for god sakes........he says that for 2 reasons. First if he beats Jones then it makes Sonnen look even better, second if he loses it doesn't seem so bad because Jones "is that great"

What would Jon do when Tyson bit his face off? I don't think people are realizing the differing mentalities between Jon Jones and someone that is willing to bite you.

Okay Tyson takes a bite out of Jones face then gets his face literally smashed into the ground by Jones in the mount, raining down 12 to 6 elbows.
the end.

Jones gets his face bit and sticks around? He'd run, man. He'd have to kill a man that bit him to avoid death himself. Jones does NOT have that in him. He'd run away. He's a sport fighter. Not a killer. People are confused about this....
Someone, tweet Jones up, ask him what he'd do if someone bit him in a fight. He'd tell you he'd get the f8ck outta there.

I agree that is the motivation for Chael. But I believe he's wrong here.

A true street fight is anything but predictable, I had a friend Greg "Nine toes" (long story) who's one of those country strong, freakish athletes who was F-ing crazy to boot, got in a fight at the beach in Lake Charles LA. With Gene McComb who at the time was a world ranked kickboxer. Any one who was lucky enough to witness that scrap will never forget it and oh by the way it was a KO for "nine toes" fight of the year worthy. Michael Jai White had a good point In the difference of a MMA fighter and street fighter : an MMA fighter fights one guy at a time in the street you may not have that luxury

Kino Mutai. The Filipino art of biting and gouging. I first heard about this in Blackbelt magazine years ago.

Ryu from street fighter could totally take Scorpion from Mortal Kombat in a street fight!

Here is another equivalent to this argument:
Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi could never beat Lebron James at basketball.

No Shitt!!! There would've been thousands of fighters back then that would've beaten them. Anyone with a little bit of grappling would've destroyed them ie Judo, wrestling, bjj, Juijitsui,
We've sort of covered this, UFC 1 1993. Grappler beats Any stand up fighter only.

So we are just assuming here boxers never got into street fights before they were boxers? GTFO
90% of boxers went to the gyms off the streets

70% of fights end up on the ground?? 100% of fights start on the feet!!! No question about that! Although Ray Mercer (old version) and James Toney (also old version) didn't fair too well in the Octagon. Most KOs happen standing up however so to assume grappling rules the day is a bit of an overstatement. Chicks dig the long ball!! And MMA FANS still dig the KO!!

Actually one thing that has always struck me about Jones' fighting is that he really seems to me like he wants to physically hurt or injure his opponents in a way most fighters in the UFC do not. Not saying he's a killer, but he certainly seems more vicious than most when it comes to the techniques he uses, the force he applies using them, and his overall attitude in the cage.
