Junior Dos Santos operates knee: ‘It’s was a success’
UFC heavyweight champion, Junior dos Santos almost had to quit his dream when suffered a knee injury ten days before the title fight against Cain Velasquez, which made him walk with crutches. Stubborn, Junior started physiotherapy sessions, entered the octagon the knocked Velasquez out, to earn the belt of the most important MMA event in all history, UFC on FOX, event that happened on November 12th in Anaheim, California. After the fight, Dos Santos tried to get healed only by doing physiotherapy, but the doctors said it would be better for the champion to go under surgery to treat his left knee’s meniscus, broke during trainings.
On his Twitter, Cigano posted a photo before entering the surgery table and asked for the fans to support him. “I’m getting ready for my knee surgery, send good vibes and wish me luck, guys! Amen and thanks for the support, it’s good to know you’re all praying for me”, wrote Junior this morning.
Update: Junior Cigano’s coach, Luiz Carlos Dorea said, on his Twitter, that the champion had a surgery earlier today and that it was successful. “The surgery was a success, thank God”, said the coach.
